*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 35*
* DATE: 4TH FEBRUARY, 2026*
*TOPIC: THE SPIRIT OF STAGNATION (PART 4)*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: — ISAIAH 43:18–19NKJV*
*“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”*
*Devotional Message*
One of the subtle weapons the devil uses to confine believers to one position is complacency. He makes people comfortable where they are, causing them to dwell too much on past achievements and feel satisfied, with no hunger for the greater things God still has in store. The enemy succeeds by convincing many that they have already arrived, yet success in God is a journey, not a destination.
The children of Israel became comfortable in one camp until God called them to order and commanded them to break camp and advance. Advancement only came when they moved. This same principle is seen in the life of Apostle Paul, who declared that he chose to forget what was behind—both failures and achievements—and pressed forward toward the higher calling of God.
Child of God, your comfort zone is a serious enemy to your destiny. It is one of the main tools the devil uses to keep believers stagnant spiritually, economically, financially, in career, business, and ministry. While God desires to give us more, the enemy blinds us by making us overly celebrate achievements and remain satisfied with our current level.
No matter where you are right now—spiritually, in business, career, ministry, or life—there is still a higher mark. That “more” becomes visible and attainable when we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and choose to break camp and advance.
*Prayer*
Father, I thank You for the grace You have given me to come this far. Today, I repent of every form of complacency in my life. Deliver me from the comfort zone that limits my growth and destiny. Stir a fresh hunger in my spirit to pursue Your higher calling. Give me the strength and wisdom to break camp and advance into all You have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
