*đ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 42*
*DATE: 12TH FEBRUARY 2026*
*TOPIC: THE PRINCIPLE OF WISDOM IN OUR SPEECH*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: â PROVERBS 4:7 (KJV)*
*âWisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.â*
*Devotion Message:*
Wisdom is a principal thing and is needed in every sphere of lifeâespecially in our speech as Kingdom ambassadors here on earth. Wisdom teaches you how to speak, when to speak, what to speak, and even when to remain silent. Not every question deserves an answer, and not every situation requires a reaction.
Jesus, our perfect example, walked in wisdom. The Pharisees and scribes often asked Him questionsânot to learn, but to trap Him with His words. Yet they could not catch Him because He was full of the Spirit and wisdom. He knew when to answer and how to answer.
Lack of wisdom in speech has broken many marriages, businesses, ministries, and relationships. Careless words have destroyed partnerships that took years to build. Prophet Nathan demonstrated wisdom when confronting King David after his sin with Bathsheba. Instead of direct accusation, he presented a parable. When David realized the message was about him, he repented and sought Godâs mercy. Wisdom restored what confrontation alone might have destroyed and even risked the life of the prophet.
Child of God, for success in your marriage, business, ministry, workplace, and relationships, you need wisdom. You need wisdom to start relationships, wisdom to handle them, and wisdom to sustain them. Apostle James encourages us that if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives generously. Therefore, seek wisdom daily so that your speech may build and not destroy.
*Prayer* :
Heavenly Father, I thank You because You are the source of all wisdom. I acknowledge that without You, I can say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Fill me with Your Spirit and grant me divine wisdom in my speech. Teach me when to speak and when to remain silent. Let my words build, heal, restore, and glorify You. In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
*Declaration* :
I walk in divine wisdom. My words are guided by the Holy Spirit. I speak life, grace, and truth at the right time. I will not be trapped by careless speech. In all my relationships, wisdom preserves and elevates me. In Jesusâ Name, Amen.
