Years ago, I had a dream. A horrible skeletal being with claws came near me. I woke up, looked at it, smiled, and went back to sleep. People might say, “You should have jumped up and prayed!” But knowledge is the most effective way to fight.
When you know who you are, when you know God has bestowed strength on you, fear will have no power. The devil tests you to see if you know your place. If you show fear, he gains ground. If you know your authority, you stand firm.
That is why a young ex-Satanist cried when he testified. He said, “Christians, if you knew what happens in the kingdom of darkness, what they do to you, you would not live ignorantly.” That is why dirty hands and unrighteous living make prayers ineffective. The real battle is fought with knowledge, obedience, and strength from God. The more you study the Scriptures, the more your understanding increases through the knowledge you accumulate. This is the truth the devil keeps from you and he succeeds by showing us other things to preoccupy our minds rather than taking our time to build up ourselves in the most holy faith that can keep us strong at all time.
