Daily Devotion — February 15

Anchored by God’s Presence

(Psalm 16:8 NKJV)

David speaks with intentionality when he says he has set the Lord always before him. Stability does not
happen accidentally; it is cultivated through focus. When God is kept central, circumstances lose their power to shake the heart. David’s confidence was not rooted in favorable conditions, but in the nearness of God.

Throughout Scripture, those who remain steady are those who continually fix their eyes on the Lord. Fear gains ground when focus drifts, but faith grows when God remains central. Walking with God means choosing truth over turbulence and presence over pressure.

Being unmoved does not mean unaffected. It means anchored. God’s presence secures the believer even when life feels unstable.

Reflection Questions:

1. What pressures are currently trying to move my faith or peace?

2. How intentionally am I keeping God before me each day?

3. What changes when I remember that God is near?

Prayer:

Lord, help me to keep You always before me. When distractions and pressures arise, anchor my heart in Your presence. Thank You for being near and unchanging. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Practical Application:

โ— Begin today by acknowledging God’s presence in prayer.

โ— Refocus your thoughts on God when stress arises.

โ— Meditate on Scripture that reminds you of God’s nearness.

Takeaway Thought:

Stability grows when God remains the center of our focus.
