*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 47*
*DATE: 16TH FEBRUARY 2026*
*TOPIC: KNOW YOUR TRUE IDENTITY_1*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURES: MARK.15.2 (NKJV)*
*Then Pilate asked Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered and said to him, "It is as you say."*
*Message*
Who are you? Do you truly know your identity according to Scripture? Many people today have allowed circumstances, backgrounds, failures, and the words spoken over them to define who they are. Some were called fools and believed it. Some were labeled poor and accepted it. Others were told they would never amount to anything—and they inherited that identity. Tragically, some have even ended their lives because they embraced identities formed by men instead of God.
In our anchor scripture (Luke 23:1–3), Jesus stood before the council, chief priests, and Pilate. He was falsely accused yet remained silent. But when Pilate asked, “Are You the King of the Jews?” Jesus answered, “It is as you say.”
Even in chains.Even under accusation.Even facing death. He did not deny His identity. He refused to let His circumstances redefine who He was.
Child of God, your current situation does not define your identity. Your lack does not make you poor. Your struggle does not make you defeated. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 8:9 that Jesus became poor so that through His poverty you might become rich. That means your present state is not your final identity.
You are:A royal priesthood,A chosen generation,A peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9),A child of God and joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:16–17),The light of the world and The salt of the earth.
Where you come from was simply the channel through which you entered this world. But your real identity comes from Zion. It comes from God.The fact that it has not yet manifested does not mean it will never manifest. At the appointed time, it shall speak.Do not settle for what people call you. Settle for what God calls you. Your identity is not determined by your condition but by your position in Christ.
When others try to label you contrary to Scripture, remind them—and yourself—who you are in Christ.
Today, begin to see yourself in line with the Word. Think it. Declare it. Walk in it. Work toward it. Believe it.
*Prayer*
Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for calling me Your own. Forgive me for every time I accepted an identity that did not come from You. Today I reject every negative label spoken over my life. I receive my true identity in Christ. Help me to see myself as You see me—a chosen, royal, victorious child of God. Let Your Word define me and shape my thoughts. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*Daily Bible Reading*
Psalm 139, Ephesians 1, John 1, Luke 23:1–3,2 Corinthians 8:9,1 Peter 2:9, Romans 8:16–17
*Dominion Declaration*
I am who God says I am.I refuse every false identity. My life aligns with Scripture.I walk in my true identity in Christ.
