Good morning, brethren.

THE WORD FOR TODAY. MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2026.
"YOUR DOUBTS DON’T DISQUALIFY YOU"
ā€˜ā€¦Do not be unbelieving, but believing.’ John 20:27 NKJV

THE BIBLE says: ā€˜Now Thomas…one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. The other disciples therefore said to him, ā€œWe have seen the Lordā€. So he said to them, ā€œUnless I see in His hands…and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believeā€. And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, ā€œPeace to you!ā€ Then He said to Thomas, ā€œReach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believingā€. And Thomas answered and said to Him, ā€œMy Lord and my God!ā€ā€™ (vv. 24-28 NKJV). The miracle in this story is not that Christ could walk through a closed door and suddenly materialise in their presence. That’s impressive. What’s even more impressive is that Christ would show up to talk to a doubter! The fact is, Jesus was not even in the room eight days earlier when Thomas expressed his doubts to the other disciples. But ā€˜The Lord knows the thoughts of man…’ (Psalm 94:11 NKJV). Some of us would have looked at Thomas and thought, ā€˜Write him off, he’s not qualified to be a disciple’. Not Jesus. He recognised an honest heart and a seeking soul, and He showed up to answer his questions. Your doubts don’t disqualify you! Just take them to the Lord in prayer, and when you leave His presence you’ll be saying, ā€˜My Lord and my God’.

ii. DO YOU BELIEVE THIS?

"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." - Matthew 17:20

Do you know the story of a nation of 3 million people wandering in the desert and being bitten by venomous snakes? Their leader Moses made a bronze snake and attached this to a high pole. He said that everyone who was bitten should look at the bronze snake and they would live. Everyone who looked, immediately got healthy. Do you believe that?

The same people once stood before a sea. Moses stretched out his stick over the water and the water was split, so the people could walk on dry ground. Do you believe this?

Once upon a time there was a poor widow who only had a handful of flour and a little bit of oil in her house. The prophet said to her: 'Make me first a loaf of bread. Then the flour and the oil will not run out.' Indeed, every day the widow was able to bake again, because the oil and the flour did not run out. Do you believe that?

That old prophet walked to a river with his servant. He took off his cloak and hit the water with it. The water split and they walk on the riverbed. Do you believe that?

The Bible is full of wonderful miracles of preservation, victories and healing from all types of diseases.

Receive a miracle from God

How did all these people receive their miracle from God? What is needed for that? Faith and an act of faith are essential to be able to receive from God.

The power was not in the flour and oil from the widow, but in her faith. It was the same with Moses. He did not have a magical stick. The power was Moses' faith in God.

God wants to do miracles today. However, we can only receive the miracle through faith. God has not changed. 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever' (Hebrews 13:8). God used to do miracles and He is still able to perform a miracle for you today!

2. Morning Prayer for today.

i. Morning Prayer

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ā¤ Matthew 6:10

The will of God will not take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us. ā¤ Billy Graham

Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. May Your kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Let Your kingdom come into our hearts and into our home. Help us to do Your will as it is done by those who are before Your throne. Too often, we want our own way and struggle to accept Yours. Give us the grace to cheerfully accept whatever You ask us to do or endure.

Yesterday, we made promises to live faithfully and follow Your commandments as we worshiped You. Help us to keep those vows today as we return to the world. Don’t let sin have control over us. Keep us from falling into temptation. Protect us from being influenced by bad company or the ways of the world. Keep us under the guidance of Your Spirit.

We ask You to give us more grace. We want to live abundant spiritual lives and produce abundant fruit. May we be branches in the vine that bring honor to You. Let the fruits of the Spirit grow in us—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May those who seek us out for comfort, friendship, strength, or help find something that nourishes their souls.

We also ask for personal blessings for all our family members. Sweeten our home life and bind us together with tender love. Help us to support and strengthen each other in every way. Be our helper so that we can help many others in turn. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
