*š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 48*
*DATE: 17TH FEBRUARY 2026*
*TOPIC: KNOW YOUR TRUE IDENTITY_2*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 2 CORINTHIANS 3:18 (NKJV)*
*āBut we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same imageā¦ā*
*Devotional Message*
Yesterday, we discovered that our real identity is found in who God says we areānot in what men say about us. The challenge, however, is that many believers struggle with identity because they have not interacted deeply with the Scriptures.
The Word of God is heavenās manual. It reveals who we are, why we were born, and what we are called to accomplish. If you do not study the Word, you will struggle to know your identity. And even when some read it, spiritual blindness may prevent true understanding. That is why we must pray for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that as we read, we truly see.
Identity discovery brings boldness. When a person knows who they are, confusion disappears and confidence rises.
Consider a doctor: he is identified as a doctor because of the nature of his training and the work he consistently performs. In the same way, we discover our spiritual identity through understanding our purpose. Purpose reveals identity.
When Jesus opened the scroll in the synagogue, He read from Isaiah and boldly declared His mission: the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him to preach the gospel, set captives free, and open blind eyes. He knew who He was because He understood His assignment.
Likewise, as we interact with Scripture and walk closely with the Holy Spirit, our purpose becomes clearer. And as we consistently walk in that purpose, our identity becomes evidentānot only to us but also to others.
You are not defined by opinions, background, or limitations. You are defined by Godās Word and His purpose for your life.
*Prayer*
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing my true identity through Your Word. Open my eyes to see who You say I am. Remove every veil of confusion and doubt. Grant me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I may walk boldly in my purpose. Help me to live consistently according to the assignment You have given me. In Jesusā name, Amen.
