Actor Robert Duvall has died at 95. One movie of his I enjoyed was “The Apostle”, in which he played a troubled preacher. Duvall wrote the script in 1984, but could not find a studio willing to produce it. He eventually directed and financed “The Apostle” himself. In the middle of a Toronto screening in 1997, a bidding war erupted for the distribution rights. “The Apostle” earned Duvall an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Hopefully, he was saved and received a crown in heaven.
