*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 52*
*DATE: 21ST FEBRUARY 2026*
*TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF TRAINING – 3*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: GENESIS 39:9 (NKJV)*
*There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?"*
*Devotional Message*

Training is not punishment; it is preparation. One of the greatest necessities in God’s training process is character formation. Before God entrusts you with influence, resources, or spiritual authority, He first deals with your character. In this season, He helps you tame the flesh so that it does not become a doorway for the enemy.

Many desire power, wealth, and recognition, but few are willing to pass through the wilderness. Yet it is in the wilderness that God realigns your desires. There, He separates you from distractions and begins to shift your heart from loving what He gives to loving who He is.

When your love for God grows deeper than your love for material things, integrity is born. Integrity is loyalty to God when compromise is available. It is choosing obedience over opportunity. It is refusing mammon even when it promises quick success.

A powerful example is Joseph. When his master’s wife attempted to seduce him, he refused to sleep with her. His decision was not primarily because he feared his master; it was because he loved God. He said, “How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?” His loyalty was to God first. Even when no one else was watching, Joseph upheld his integrity because his heart belonged to God.

The Bible reminds us that we cannot serve two masters. Many who never went through God’s process end up compromising their loyalty in pursuit of wealth. But a true soldier of Christ understands that loyalty to God is worth any price.

Do not despise your season of training. It is in that process that God purges your motives, refines your appetite, and strengthens your devotion. Those who love God more than anything else are the ones who uphold integrity without negotiation.

Let God finish His work in you.

*Prayer*

Father, thank You for the season of training. Deal with my character and purge every wrong desire within me. Give me the heart of Joseph — a heart that chooses loyalty to You above comfort, opportunity, or gain. Help me to uphold integrity at all costs and remain faithful to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
