TRANSFORMATIONAL RE-CREATION
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here." 2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV.
The born again experience brings with it a transformative re-creation. This can be likened to what happens to the DNA formation of the caterpillar from which the butterfly metamorphoses. A transformation takes place, and it is not the same or similar to that of the butterfly.
Between the caterpillar and butterfly stages is the chrysalis stage, here's the point when the DNA formation of the caterpillar begins to shrink and shed its skin, and its organs and genetic makeup dissolve, the caterpillar begins to die. But then, after a cease, a new creature begins to appear. This transformation process from caterpillar to butterfly can serve as an illuminating similitude to the process of re-creation or regeneration. When re-creation takes place in a person's life, the DNA formation of sin should no more be in them, the life of Christ is infused and a new man emerges. '.... he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.' (v 17 NKJV).
PRAYER BULLETS:
LORD Jesus, grant that Your life infused in me will sustain Your DNA formation which I had received from You.
FURTHER READING:
Ephesians 4:22-24; Colossians 3:9-10; John 3:1-7; Titus 3:5.
