Good morning, brethren. 1. Morning devotion for today. i. 😀🌹🎀🎁💝🌺 MORNING TEA THE WORD FOR TODAY. SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2026. "HELP FOR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION (1)" ‘Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down…’ Proverbs 12:25 NAS YOUR STOMACH is in knots, you feel as though an elephant is sitting on your chest, you’ve got the jitters and your thoughts are running amok. Where can you find relief? Alcohol, drugs, relationships, work, money, sex, etc.? If so, you’ve found relief that simply won’t work long-term. The Bible says, ‘Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down’, causing hopelessness and depression. What’s the answer? Satan is sometimes the source of anxiety and depression. When King Saul became self-willed, ‘The Spirit of the Lord…left Saul…the Lord had sent a tormenting spirit that filled him with depression and fear’ (1Samuel 16:14 TLB). Our pride and disobedience also allow satan to invade our thoughts and emotions. But by humbling ourselves and aligning our will with God’s will, we invite Him to reverse satan’s assault, overcoming our anxiety and depression. ‘…Whoever humbles himself will be exalted (lifted up)’ (Matthew 23:12 NIV). You have authority over the devil, but it only kicks in when you’re submitted to God. Here are three steps to victory found in James 4:7: 1) ‘Submit yourselves…to God.’ This step aligns you with God’s Word and power, and gives you the right to exercise dominion over the devil. 2) ‘Resist the devil.’ This is military language. ‘Resist the devil’ implies a courageous, forceful, persistent refusal to let him prevail against you. 3) ‘[The devil]…will flee from you,’ forfeiting his hold on your life and his ability to pour on the anxiety and depression. WALK THROUGH THE FIRE "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." - John 15:18-19 A Christian's life is not always rosy. God's children often go through storms and trials. When we pray, it sometimes seems like heaven is closed to us, although it is not true. Throughout the ages, the world has hated God's Church. This has never been different, and it will never be. This could also be said about the people of Israel. Israel has always been surrounded by enemies who are after them. These enemies cannot accept that this small country, a dot on the world map, is for the people of Israel. What should the Church do? Jesus says here that the world will not love us. If you walk in the light of God and do not compromise, when you have different norms and values, you will surely be excluded by the world. The world has always hunted down, persecuted and tried to destroy God's Church. What should the Church do? What can the Christian do? Nothing, except to continue our journey to heaven; walk through the fire, walk on the mountains and in the valleys. Once we arrive at our heavenly home, we will be able to rest. Real Christians do not sin as the world does. They keep their backs straight while they obey God's norms, values and laws. The Holy Spirit will help us with this. Why do we live here as strangers? Because our home is not here: the world is not our home. We are in a transit mode. We live in the world but are not of the world. We belong to our Lord and Savior. We have nothing to look for here because we are strangers. We think differently, talk differently, act differently and decide differently than the world. The evil one will continue to attack you. Morning Prayer I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men; ⏤ 1 Timothy 2:1 Prayer is the key that unlocks all the storehouses of God’s infinite grace and power. ⏤ R.A. Torrey O God, You have taught us to offer supplications, prayers, and intercessions for all people. We humbly ask You to hear our prayers, which we offer to Your divine Majesty in the name of Jesus Christ. Remember in Your mercy all people whom You have made to dwell on the earth. Deliver them from the many evils and miseries that oppress them. Deliver them especially from idolatry, ignorance, superstition, error, unbelief, and the chains of sin. Send Your gospel to all nations until everyone has heard its joyful message. Bless all missionaries and organizations dedicated to spreading the gospel. Hasten the coming of Your kingdom among the nations, and bring all Your lost sheep into the fold of the Good Shepherd. Remember also, all Your people in Christian lands. You have purchased Your church with Your own blood. We ask You to bless all who call upon Your name in prayer. Fill Your church with more of Your life and Spirit. Equip Your ministers with all spiritual gifts and graces. Remember all who are in any trouble. Strengthen the weak and make them strong in spirit. Lift up those who have fallen. Support those who are discouraged and about to give up. Let a special blessing be upon Your children. They cannot find their way home on their own; You must show them the way. Grant that Your people may always keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, to the glory of Your holy name.
