*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 53*
*DATE: 22ND FEBRUARY 2026*
*TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF TRAINING – 4*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:2 TIMOTHY 2:15 (NKJV)*
*“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”*
*Devotional Message*

Yesterday, we saw that during seasons of training, God realigns our desires. He teaches us to love Him more than the tokens we seek from His presence. When our desires are repositioned correctly, we remain loyal even under pressure. When the world makes attractive promises, we still uphold integrity for God’s sake.

Another vital element in the training season is being equipped with the knowledge of truth. Without proper grounding in the Word, a believer becomes vulnerable to error. There is a real danger of drifting into “another gospel” — a message that sounds spiritual but is different from the true Gospel of Christ.

That is why Apostle Paul strongly admonished Timothy and the believers to study, so that they would be approved. Study protects you from deception. Study protects you from pride. Study protects you from inventing doctrines just to sound deep, unique, or mysterious.

As a disciple and ambassador of Christ, you are called to preach and teach about Him. Before the disciples were sent out, the message they were given centered on the Kingdom of God and repentance — turning away from sin and turning toward Jesus. The focus was never self-exaltation, but Christ-exaltation.

Without proper knowledge of Scripture, it becomes easy to misinterpret the Word, build personal doctrines, or even point people to yourself instead of pointing them to Jesus. That is a dangerous path. Sound doctrine ensures that when you minister — whether to sinners, kings, business people, families, or married couples — you speak with accuracy, clarity, and alignment with God’s original intent.

Ignorance of God’s Word weakens discipleship. But disciplined study strengthens your foundation, sharpens discernment, and keeps your message pure.

In your training season, let the Word of God shape you deeply. Let it correct you. Let it humble you. Let it anchor you. So that when you speak, you speak truth — and when you lead, you lead people to Jesus, not to yourself.

*Prayer*

Father, thank You for the season of training. Align my desires and anchor me in Your truth. Give me discipline to study Your Word and rightly divide it. Protect me from error, pride, and false doctrine. May I always preach Christ faithfully and lead others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
