A HEART OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IN ACTON

A WORD FROM THE WORD:

"Now behold, there was a man named Joseph, a council member, a good and just man. He had not consented to their decision and deed. He was from Arimathea, a city of the Jews, who himself was also waiting for the kingdom of God." Luke 23:50-51 NKJV

This man, Joseph of Arimathea was neither a prophet nor a preacher, he wasn't popular by the standards of the world he lived in, though he was a member of the Council but was not in agreement with the rest on the decision against the Christ. There was one spectacular thing that he was well known for; his reverential fear for God and the other was his waiting for the manifestation of God's kingdom.
He was instrumental in placing the body of the LORD Jesus in a tomb as no one knew or believed the LORD Jesus would be crucified and die at such a young age, therefore, humanly speaking, there was no prior preparations made.

You may be unpopular and unknown by men, as long as you have the courage to stand alone on your convictions about the LORD Jesus, even when the multitude around you are doing the bandwagon. As long as you're in sync with God's will and purpose for your life and calling, your popularity with God resonates in the Throne room in heaven, and God knows you.
Keep worshipping and serving God, keep walking and working with Him, keep rejecting worldliness, unrighteousness and sin, when the right time comes, God will pick you up for the very purpose of your creation.

PRAYER BULLETS:

1). Father LORD, help me to fit into Your purpose for my life no matter how unknown or unpopular it would render me.

2). ABBA Father, strengthen all unpopular and unknown followers of Christ Jesus.

FURTHER READING:

John 3:1-2; 19:38-40; 1 Corinthians 11:1.
