*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 60*
*DATE: 1ST MARCH 2026*
*TOPIC: GREATER REVELATION, GREATER DEPENDANCE*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV)*
*“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,”Says the Lord of hosts.*
*Devotional Message*
Yesterday, we established that the greater the revelation, the greater the responsibility. However, there is a dangerous tendency in man: as revelation increases, there is a temptation to begin depending on self, relying on personal strength, and subtly seeking self-glory.
Growth in revelation, wisdom, knowledge, influence, or even wealth should not push us away from God—it should drive us closer to Him. The more God lifts you, the more you must lean on Him. That is why God reminded Zerubbabel, “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.” Increase is sustained not by human ability but by divine enablement.
Apostle Paul demonstrated this mindset. Though he walked in extraordinary miracles—casting out demons, healing the sick through handkerchiefs and aprons, and even witnessing the dead raised—he still declared, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This was not a statement of self-sufficiency, but a confession of dependence. Paul acknowledged that without Christ, he could do nothing.
This is the mindset we must carry as believers. The fact that you are not at the same level you were last year—in revelation, influence, structure, or finances—does not mean you can now rely on yourself. That is a subtle deception of the enemy. He seeks to separate you from dependence on God before he sifts you.
The truth is this: the more the revelation, the more the intimacy required. Every new level attracts new opposition. Therefore, deeper fellowship with God becomes necessary to withstand the pressures that come with growth. Secondly, increased intimacy keeps the heart humble, so that pride does not corrupt what God has built.
Paul continually prayed, “That I may know Him.” Though he had encountered Christ deeply, he still longed for more. You can never exhaust God. His mercies are new every morning, and every new level requires fresh revelation.
If you desire to finish well, remain dependent. Let growth push you into deeper communion, not self-reliance. What God began in you, He is faithful to complete—but only as you continue to yield to His Spirit.
*Prayer*
Father, I thank You for every level of growth You have granted me. Guard my heart from pride and self-reliance. Teach me to depend on You more as I increase in revelation, wisdom, and influence. Let Your Spirit sustain me at every level and keep me humble so that I may finish well. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
