*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 61*
*DATE: 2ND MARCH 2026*
**TOPIC:WHAT PRICE HAVE YOU PAID?**
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: JOHN 3:16 (NKJV)*
*“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”*
*Devotional Message*
When God loved the world, He paid a price. That price was His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who came to die for our sins so that we might be reconciled back to Him. Love was not just spoken—it was demonstrated through sacrifice.
Therefore, if we claim to love God, it will cost us something.
True love always carries a cost. If you truly love God, it will cost your time. You will create time to be with Him. You will make time for prayer, time to study His Word, time to fellowship with Him, and time to witness Christ to others through evangelism. When you love someone, you are never too busy for them. How much more should this be true concerning God—your Creator and the reason for your existence?
Loving God will also cost your comfort. The disciples paid with their very lives. Some were beaten, persecuted, and even killed. Yet the more opposition they faced, the bolder they became in advancing the Kingdom of God so that those who sat in darkness could see the Light.
Love for God will cost your resources. You will sacrifice your finances to support the work of God and to see the Gospel spread. In the early church, those who had possessions sold them and shared with those in need. The result was that many believed in the Lord. When you truly love Jesus, you will go the extra mile so that others may encounter His love.
Child of God, this is a challenge to us today. We profess love for God—but what has it cost us? What price have we paid?
It cost God His only Son.It cost Jesus His life.It cost the apostles their lives. What about you?
Love that costs nothing means little. But love that sacrifices reflects the heart of God.
*Prayer*
Father, thank You for loving me and paying the ultimate price for my redemption. Forgive me for the times I have professed love without sacrifice. Teach me to love You genuinely—with my time, my resources, my comfort, and my whole life. Let my love for You be demonstrated in action and not just words. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
