*đ DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 63*
*DATE: 4TH MARCH 2026*
*TOPIC: THE LIGHT THAT EXPOSES AND TRANSFORMS*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: JOHN 3:20 (NIV)*
*âEveryone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.â*
*Devotional Message*
One of the primary functions of light is exposure. Light does not negotiate with darknessâit reveals it. Scripture tells us that everyone who does evil hates the light because when they come into it, their deeds are exposed. This shows us that the light of God does not merely comfort; it confronts.
When an individual truly encounters the light of God, brokenness is triggered. That brokenness leads to repentance. The light exposes hidden wickedness, secret motives, and the âfoxesâ that spoil the vineyard of our hearts. Darkness thrives in concealment, but light forces it into visibility.
When Isaiah encountered the Lord, he immediately cried out, âWoe is me, for I am undone! I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell among a people of unclean lips.â Notice that the light did not only expose his personal condition; it also exposed the influence of his environment. True encounters with God reveal not only our sin but also the circles and influences shaping our lives.
The Apostle John tells us that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He continues, âIn Him was life, and the life was the light of men.â This reveals that the true light is found in Jesus Christ. Therefore, when we encounter Jesus, we encounter light.
Every genuine encounter with Christ does not first produce powerâit first produces exposure. Before you become a vessel of power, you must become a vessel of light. Like Isaiah, whose lips were purified with a coal from the altar, we must allow the light to cleanse us before we can effectively bear witness.
When we behold Him daily through prayer, worship, and the Word, we are transformed into His likeness. We begin to mirror Him. As carriers of light, we expose darkness not by argument, but by transformation.
Let the light do its work in you. Exposure is not destructionâit is preparation for purification and purpose.
*Prayer*
Father, thank You for the gift of Your light through Jesus Christ. Expose every hidden thing in my heart that does not reflect You. Search me, cleanse me, and transform me. Let Your light not only shine upon me but shine through me. Make me a true witness of Christ. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
