*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 64*
*DATE: 5TH MARCH 2026*
*TOPIC: EMPOWERMENT*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE;ACTS 1:8 (NKJV)*
*But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”"*
*Devotional Message*
One of the first things God does is deliver a man from the world—this is salvation. But salvation is only the beginning. After delivering a man, God takes him through a process of transformation.
When light encounters darkness, hidden things are exposed. As we saw yesterday, wicked deeds are revealed when one encounters the light of God. This exposure is not for condemnation but for purification. Just as Isaiah encountered the holiness of God and his lips were purged with a live coal, God cleanses and refines us so that we may effectively represent Him.
After transformation comes empowerment. You cannot witness about light if you do not carry light yourself. The disciples walked with Jesus, but it was only after they tarried and were endued with power from on high that they became bold and effective witnesses to the uttermost parts of the earth.
One of the key ways God empowers a man is by giving him divine wisdom—knowing what to say or do, how to say or do it, and when to apply it. There are places where witnessing Christ requires the manifestation of power through miracles, signs, and wonders, just as the apostles did, and many believed as a result.
At other times, divine wisdom instructs us to demonstrate love. Jesus sometimes dined with sinners and tax collectors—not to endorse sin, but to win hearts. His love led to repentance and transformation. Likewise, the early believers shared their possessions with those in need, and the Lord added to the church daily.
Without wisdom, one may apply power where love is needed, or show love where authority and boldness are required. Effective witnessing requires dependence on the Holy Spirit to discern what, how, and when to act.
Therefore, the divine order is clear: salvation, transformation, empowerment, and then sending. We must be empowered with power and wisdom before being sent out. You cannot give what you do not have. Otherwise, you risk becoming ineffective or even falling into bondage yourself.
God calls us not just to be saved, but to be purified, empowered, and sent as effective witnesses of Christ.
*Prayer*
Father, thank You for delivering me from darkness into Your marvelous light. Continue the work of transformation in my life. Purify me, fill me with Your power, and grant me divine wisdom to know what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. Make me an effective witness of Christ in my generation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
