Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.
i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2026.
"BE PASSIONATE ABOUT IT (2)"
âAs an eagle stirs up its nestâŠso the LordâŠled himâŠâ
Deuteronomy 32:11-12 NKJV
A MOTHER eagle knows that if she waits for her young to get out of the nest and fly on their own initiative, itâll never happen. So she pushes them out! Thatâs radical, but they learn to fly and fulfil their destiny. John Maxwell says: âTo succeed in life we must stay within our strength zone, but continually move outside our comfort zone. Have you ever accomplished anything of significance while you were in your comfort zone? Think about it. The answer is ânoâ, isnât it? We donât like moving outside our comfort zone. We resist it. We like to feel safe and secure. We donât want to look foolish or fall flat on our faces. And as we get older we tend naturally to become more and more complacent. Thatâs a problem, because complacency kills passion. It reduces us to average. It clips our wings and keeps us from soaring, no matter how much we want to. It takes initiative to succeed at anything in life. It requires us to take risks. Playwright George Bernard Shaw said, âIâm sick of all the reasonable people: they see all the reasons for doing nothing.â Passion prompts us to leave our comfort zone and cross the threshold of our doubt. It pushes us out the door, so that we can get going on the journey in life that God designed for us. Itâs said that when you get to the door of opportunity youâre not supposed to knock - youâre supposed to push!â So step out in faith, take the initiative, and believe that God is with you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

ii. OUR RANSOM
"God bought you with a great price. So honor God with your body." - 1 Corinthians 6:20
Imagine someone inviting you to visit their mansion. While you walk around inside of his house and see all the splendor, what would be your first thought? I think you might like to know what all this had to cost.
I already heard of the splendor we will have in heaven and about my home which is being prepared by the Lord Jesus. What was the price for that?
He paid the highest price
God has paid this high price for the deliverance of our souls in installments. The first term was the birth of the Lord Jesus in a stable in Bethlehem. He was born in a stable and laid in a manger. He left His glory in heaven and paid the first installment for our deliverance.
The second installment was paid after Jesus fasted for forty days and nights and the evil one wanted to seduce Him. Jesus did not listen to him when the evil one repeatedly tempted Him. This was a crucial moment in the life of Jesus, which we read in Luke 4. Jesus conquered and because of His victory we are more than overcomers.
The third term was the horrible death of Jesus. He fought in the garden of Gethsemane and His sweat was like drops of blood. Then He was betrayed by a friend. He was subsequently convicted by church leaders who had summoned false witnesses against Him. He was hit, spit on the face and ridiculed. He was flogged, got a crown of thorns on His head and had to carry His cross to Calvary, where He was crucified between two murderers. Jesus paid our ransom with His life.
I am so happy for people who feel lonely and abandoned today because I know Someone who wants to help. He understands your need. He will always be with you. He will never let you down.

2. Morning prayer for today.
i. Morning Prayer
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly. †John 10:10
The greatest thing anyone can do for God or man is pray. †S.D. Gordon
O Jesus, our Savior, You alone can give us life. You came into this world that we might have life, abundant life. Fill us with life as we begin this new day. We will need it at every step. We will have . . .
Burdens to carry,
Battles to fight,
Trials to endure,
Duties to perform.
Give us life, abundant life, to prepare us for all these experiences, that we do not fail today.
We must represent You in the world. You have said that as the Father sent You into the world, so You have sent us. We can do nothing except as we receive life and wisdom from You. We wait at Your feet this morning, praying that You put rich grace into our souls. May we be like trees planted by the rivers of water, bearing fruit in their season. May the fruits of righteousness be evident in our lives. May the fruits of the Spirit abound in us. May we be to the world like rich trees, planted and nourished by You, from whose branches there shall fall much fruit to feed the hunger of others.
We cannot know what the day will bring. We do not ask to know. We would rather walk in the dark with You than go alone, choosing our own way. We would rather walk with You by faith than go alone by sight. So, we put ourselves into Your hand for guidance and safekeeping. You will make no mistake in leading us. No path into which You take us can be the wrong path. Lead us, O Jesus, for You know the way through this bewildering world. You have walked these paths Yourself, O Jesus, and You found the way home. Lead us home, too, dear Master, to be with You forever. We ask in Your name. Amen.
