Good evening, brethren.

1. Evening devotion for today.

i. *DAILY WALK WITH CHRIST*
(COCIN DEVOTIONAL)

*DATE:*
FRIDAY, 6TH MARCH, 2026.

*SUB-THEME:*
THE GRACE OF GOD IN DIFFICULT TIMES.

*TOPIC:*
PERSECUTION AND PAIN.

*TEXT:*
2 TIMOTHY 3:10-15.
10 You, however, have observed my teaching, my conduct, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, my perseverance,
11 my persecutions, and the sufferings that came upon me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. What persecutions I endured! Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them.
Psa 34:19 Act 13:50 Act 14:2 Act 14:19 2Co 1:10 [Psa 34:18]
12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,
Mat 16:24 Luk 24:26 Joh 17:14 Act 14:22 1Th 3:3 [Psa 34:19]
13 while evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14 But as for you, continue in the things you have learned and firmly believed, since you know from whom you have learned them. [1Ti 4:6]
15 From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

*TOPIC:*
PERSECUTION AND PAIN.

*THE MESSAGE:*
it is human to question God's goodness and sovereignty in intense pain and persecution due to despair. Paul endured persecution and suffering, but he trusted God for deliverance. He charged Timothy to remain faithful to the faith and maintain sound teaching to refute the influence of deceptive teaching of evildoers and impostors. Paul also charged him not to be surprised when people misunderstand, criticize, or even try to hurt him because of his faith. People who obey God and live for Him will be persecuted because Christianity stands as an indictment against them. Christians should not fail to hold on to their faith in God in the face of hostility, pain, adversity, and political marginalization. Christ counts you worthy to suffer for Him. He will help you to be steadfast.

*REFLECTION:*
Even in adversity, grace abounds.

*PRAYER:*
Lord, give me grace to be steadfast in the face of persecution. Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
ROMANS 8:28.
And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

*TODAY'S BIBLE READING PLAN:*
JOSHUA 18-21.

Fall of Man

Adam was created in the image and likeness of God, but sin damaged that likeness when he believed the lie and deceit of the enemy and Adam rebelled against God. And since that first sin of disobedience, which caused all humanity to be imputed with a sin nature, there has only been one man who lived in the image and likeness of God – one man who lived as God intended that man should live – in total dependence upon Him.

Perfect Man

For thirty-three years the Lord Jesus walked this earth and lived as God intended man to live. Throughout His life Jesus lived a normal life.. a perfect life – the sort of life that God intended all men to live. Jesus lived His life in complete submission to the Father and in total dependence upon His God – led by the Spirit of God.

Invisible God

God is Spirit and no man has seen God at any time, and yet the invisible God has declared Himself in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. And Jesus revealed the invisible God and made Him known to a lost world. The unique and only begotten Son of God, Who from eternity past was in the intimate presence of the Father, and resting on His bosom declared Him – revealed Him, interpreted Him. and made Him known.

Dependant Living

God in His grace and wisdom chose to come to earth, in the person of the incarnate Son of God. He clothed Himself with our humanity and lived His life as a perfect man. God in His wisdom and grace chose to be born as a man and to behave throughout His lifetime as God intended man to live. And for 33 years Jesus demonstrated the life God created man to live – dependant upon God, and only saying and doing the perfect will of God.

Perfect Obedience

The eternal Son of God willingly emptied Himself of His glory as God, and humbly clothed Himself in the flesh of humanity, in order to live His life as God intended man to live – walking in spirit and truth and living in perfect obedience to His Father in heaven. Throughout His life, the Lord Jesus demonstrated man in submission to Deity as well as God being lived through the man – man governed by God as God intended from the beginning.

Image of God

Fallen man was created in the image of God, but it was only when the God lived His life through the man Christ Jesus that He was able to say, He who has seen me has seen the Father and the words that I speak I do not speak of My own authority but the Father Who dwells in Me, does the work.

Governed by God

Though He was fully God, the Lord Jesus lived His life as fully man, demonstrating to you and me what it means to live in spirit and truth.. what it means to be led by the Spirit and submitted to Him – what it means to live in complete and utter dependence upon God.. what it means to be governed by God. As Christ humbly lived in utter dependence and willing obedience to the Father – in the same way, He wants us to live in utter dependence upon Christ Jesus, and in willing obedience to the Son – from this day forward to His praise and glory. AMEN.

2. Evening Prayer for today.

i. Evening Prayer

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse Kama Emma hands, [ye] sinners; and purify Kama Emma hearts, [ye] double minded. ⏤ James 4:8

God shapes the world by prayer. ⏤ E.M. Bounds

O God, our Father, we hunger for more life. We have gone through this day longing for life, yet how little life we have had! Our souls have felt empty of You. Our hearts have been crying out for more and more life. Reveal Yourself to us. Bring us into closer and closer personal friendship with Jesus. This is what we crave—friendship with Jesus. It is not enough for us to know Jesus as our Savior and our Lord; we long to come into deeper and closer personal friendship with Him.

Show us how to have more of Jesus in us. Whatever hinders us from welcoming Him into our hearts, help us to find it and cast it out, so that Jesus may receive a glad welcome into our deepest affection.

May we be blessed by the experiences of today. May they all work for our good. Some things have not gone according to our plans. We hoped for things we did not receive. Help us to know that Your way is better than ours, and help us to cheerfully give up our way for Yours. If we are not fully submissive, forgive us, and teach us how good it is to accept our Father’s way.

We pray for Your church. It is in many fragments; we pray that soon Your people may be one. Bring Christians nearer together in love, faith, and life. While there is separation, may You overrule all divisions for good. May hearts be drawn together, and thus may Your people become one in spirit and effort. Save Your true disciples everywhere from sectarianism and from all that fosters differences. May Your Holy Spirit be given in such measure that all denominational lines may melt away. Hear us in our prayer tonight, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
