*šŸ•Š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 66*
*DATE:7th March 2026*
*TOPIC: THE POWER OF GRATITUDE*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE :1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NKJV)*
*ā€œIn everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.ā€*
*Devotional Message*

Yesterday we saw that whenever God does something good for us or helps us in any way, our response should be to testify of His goodness to others. Throughout Scripture, many people whom God helped went on to testify about what He had done for them, and through their testimonies many others came to believe in God.

Another important response to God’s help and goodness—whether in our lives, in the lives of our loved ones, friends, or relatives—is gratitude. We should always thank God through our words, our worship, and even through the resources He has entrusted to us.

That is why the Apostle Paul encourages believers to give thanks in all circumstances, because this is the will of God. When we respond to God’s kindness with gratitude, we align ourselves with His will and acknowledge that every good thing comes from Him.

In the story of the ten lepers, only one returned to thank Jesus after being cleansed. Because of his gratitude, Jesus declared that he had been made whole. This teaches us that gratitude does more than acknowledge a miracle—it perfects it. Thanksgiving opens more doors and creates an atmosphere where God continues to manifest His power.

Gratitude is also a sign of faithfulness to God. Scripture teaches that whoever is faithful in little will be entrusted with more. When we consistently thank God for what He has done, we position ourselves for greater blessings in His ways.

Let us therefore always remember to return to the courts of the Lord with thanksgiving. When we cultivate a lifestyle of gratitude, we prevent the enemy from planting seeds of forgetfulness in our hearts and we continually honour God for His goodness.

*Prayer*

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. Forgive me for the times I have forgotten to return and give You thanks. Help me to cultivate a heart of gratitude and to always testify of Your goodness. May my life continually honour You through thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
