*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 74*
*DATE:15th March 2026*
*TOPIC: HE GIVES HIS BACKING WHEN GLORIFIED*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:*1* PETER 5:5 (NIV)**‬
“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

*Devotional Message:*

Yesterday we discovered that anything born of human effort alone is likely to fail in the midst of opposition and storms. However, anything that is born of God prevails in every circumstance because God Himself is with it. This truth was clearly seen in the lives of the apostles.

God was with the apostles because their primary desire was always to glorify Him, reveal Jesus Christ, and make Him known to people. They never sought personal recognition for the miracles, healings, signs, and wonders that occurred through their ministry. Instead, they continually pointed people to Christ as the true source of the power at work in their lives.

This was evident in the life of Peter. When the Lord performed miracles through him, he refused to accept personal glory. He openly acknowledged that he was only a man and that it was Jesus who healed and performed wonders through them. Their ministry was characterized by humility and a deep commitment to ensuring that Christ alone received the glory.

God always backs up those who seek to glorify Him rather than themselves. Scripture reminds us that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Whenever a person begins to boast in their own strength, wisdom, or abilities, they move away from the flow of God’s grace. But those who remain humble and continually honor God position themselves for divine support.

The apostles also demonstrated submission to the authority of Jesus Christ. They operated within the authority He had given them and exercised that authority in His name. They understood that they were only vessels through whom the power of God was working.

The same principle applies to every area of life today. If we desire divine backing, our pursuit must be to glorify Jesus in whatever we do—whether in business, marriage, career, or ministry. When Christ is the center and the glory is directed to Him, God’s presence and favor will sustain what we are building.

Therefore, let our lives and works always point back to Jesus, for when God is glorified, He will faithfully support the work of our hands.

*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, help me to live a life that brings glory to Your name. Guard my heart from pride and teach me to walk in humility before You. May everything I do—whether in ministry, work, or relationships—point people to Jesus. Let Your power and presence be evident in my life so that You alone receive the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
