THE PILGRIMS GUIDE SUNDAY MARCH 15, 2026 OBEDIENCE: KEY TO DIVINE BLESSINGS A WORD FROM THE WORD: "If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land." Isaiah 1:19 NKJV.  Obedience in simple biblical terms means hearing the word of God and acting positively on it as required. The practice of obedience is the test of the power of your choice.  As powerful as prayer is, when obedience is taken out of it, prayer becomes a religious ritual. As valuable as Bible Study is, when obedience to God and His word is not practiced alongside, it's as good as any academic exercise.  The hallmark of faith is obedience. God's extant grace empowers you to obedience.  Who And What Do I Obey? 1). God and His Word. (Matthew 7:21) 2). The instructions of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8:14) 3). The Servants of God. (Hebrews 13:17) 4). Men.  When their instructions are not against God's ordinances (Hebrews 13:17) 5). Civil Authorities (Romans 13:1-7; Ephesians 6:5-8) Obedience is not easy; it can be hard. It takes sacrifice on your part. When you develop a love relationship with God, decide to honour God with your decisions and actions by doing what He tells you.  Your primary motive for obedience must be to please God because you love Him.  It’s easy to do something when you do it out of love even when it’s uncomfortable.  PRAYER BULLETS: ABBA Father, thank You for the privilege of being Your child.
