*THE TRUE BREAD OF HEAVEN*
*TEACHING SERIES*
*THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD (Part 4)*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: JOHN 1:1 (NKJV)*
*“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”*
*Additional Scripture Reading: John 1:14; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 1 Peter 1:15–16*
Another vital truth concerning the ministry of the Word is that through the Word of God we come to know the Father Himself.
The Bible clearly declares that “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” This means the Word is not merely written instruction—it is a revelation of God Himself. Therefore, when we engage the Word, we are engaging God.
As we study and meditate upon Scripture, we begin to understand the heart of the Father. The Word reveals His nature, His character, and His love toward us as His children. Through it we discover what pleases Him and what grieves Him.
The more we grow in the knowledge of God through His Word, the more our hearts begin to align with His. We begin to love what He loves and hate what He hates.
One of the things God deeply loves is holiness and purity. Scripture continually calls His children to reflect His nature by living holy lives. As we engage the Word and allow it to dwell richly within us, it produces a desire for righteousness and purity in our hearts.
This transformation happens because the Word does not only inform us—it forms us. It shapes our character and enables us to replicate the nature of the One we are coming to know.
Therefore, the ministry of the Word is not simply about acquiring knowledge. It is about growing in the knowledge of God, understanding His ways, and becoming more like Him in nature and character.
We shall continue next Sunday by God’s grace.
