*π DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 77*
*DATE:18th March 2026*
*TOPIC: THE PEACE THAT IS FOUND IN CHRIST*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: PHILIPPIANS 4:6 (NKJV)*
*βBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.β*
*Devotional Message:*
Peace is the state of rest in the midst of chaos, and such peace is found only in Christ Jesus. It is the natural tendency of man to worry and become anxious based on surrounding circumstances. However, when a man surrenders his life to Christ, the Prince of Peace, he is no longer moved by changing situations.
A clear example is seen in the life of Apostle Peter. When he was imprisoned, and this after James had already been executed, Peter had every reason to be anxious. Yet, Scripture records that he was sleeping when the angel came to deliver him (Acts 12:6β7). This demonstrates that worry does not change situations, but trust in God produces rest even in life-threatening moments.
Our Lord Jesus Christ also demonstrated this peace. In the midst of a violent storm, while the disciples were filled with fear, He was asleep (Mark 4:38). His rest was anchored in the assurance that the Father was in control of all things. This same confidence is what every believer is called to walk in.
Furthermore, Paul and Silas, while imprisoned, chose prayer and praise instead of anxiety. As they sang hymns unto God, divine intervention took place, and the prison doors were opened (Acts 16:25β26). This reveals that anxiety leads to doubt and vulnerability, but rest in God invites His power and intervention.
Beloved, God calls us to live in this realm of rest. Whether in business, marriage, ministry, career, or life circumstances, He remains sovereign and able to turn all things in our favor. The peace that surpasses all understanding is found only in Christ and is experienced by those who have surrendered fully to Him.
If you are yet to surrender your life to Christ, this peace becomes accessible the moment you yield to Him. And for every believer struggling with anxiety, the pathway to peace is through the Word and prayer. As you meditate on His promises and commit your burdens to Him, your heart will be established in divine rest.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of peace that is found in Christ Jesus. I surrender every anxiety, fear, and burden unto You. Teach me to trust You completely and to rest in Your sovereignty regardless of my circumstances. Establish my heart in Your Word and fill me with the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesusβ name, Amen.
