Good morning, brethren.

1. Morning devotion for today.

i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 2026.
"IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED, REACH OUT"
‘…By love serve one another.’ Galatians 5:13 KJV

YOU WON'T succeed in life unless you are connected to the right people. And those who enable you to succeed won’t always come to you; usually you must go to them. Why do you think there’s a newspaper seller on every corner and a soft drink machine on every hotel floor? Success won’t come knocking on your door; you’ve got to go and find it. Jesus didn’t set up a throne in the middle of each town and say, ‘This is the only place you can meet with Me’. No, He went to the marketplace, to the boats of fishermen, to the synagogue, to the homes of people. He ‘…went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing everywhere’ (Luke 9:6KJV). What is keeping you from reaching out to others? Fear of rejection? Until your dream becomes more important to you than your fear of rejection, you will never succeed. Successful people dread rejection too; the difference is that they believe their goals are worth it. There are two kinds of people in your life: those who already know you have something they need, and those who don’t know it yet. So start a ‘people list’. The law of relationship says that every person is only four people away from the person they need. This simply means that you know Bill, who knows Judy, who knows Charles, who knows the person you want to get to. You are already networked. Follow the dots and you’ll get to your destiny. Success always begins somewhere, at some moment, with someone. The secret is, you must reach out.

ii. THE HEART OF THE FATHER

"Jesus continued: There was a man who had two sons. The younger one said to his father: Father, give me my share of the estate." - Luke 15:11-12

We read the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 - a wonderful story about God's fatherly love. It is the story of a father with two sons. One of the sons goes away and ends up in a companion of the pigs. He is completely broken and defeated. When he left with his bag full of money, he must have thought: I have everything I need to become successful; I am going to make it in this world!

You can find your own solution to the problems and you are able to find the inner strength to overcome difficulties. But when your own strengths and other qualities, which you heavily depend on, are exhausted, you will face great poverty and famine in your soul. You will not know what to do and you will often not see the way out. You might end up at the pigs' cage of the evil one. You will be dying of spiritual hunger and you will long for God's love.

This is exactly what happened to the prodigal son. He reached the lowest point in his life and was broken as he sat down with the pigs. However, it was at this place that he started to think where the pleasure of the world had brought him. He thought of the love and abundance he once had with his father. 'Then he came to himself and said: 'I will set out and go back to my father.' He did this and when his father saw him from a distance, the father ran to meet him and hugged him.

You do not read that the son went back to the father because he loved his father. The son was sorry and did not feel worthy to be a son, but he did not say: 'Father, I am back, because I love you so much.'

What do I want to emphasis saying this? I want you to know that this story beautifully describes the love of the Father. The love of God is not because we first loved Him. No, the truth is that God loved us when we were far away from Him. God's love is for everyone!

2. Morning Prayer for today.

i. Morning Prayer

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass. ⏤ Psalm 37:5

The great thing is to be always on the watch for God’s hand, to be ready to see His will and to do it joyfully. ⏤ George MacDonald

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we worship You with the beginning of this new day. Life can be beautiful and good, only as it has Your blessing on it. We give this day to You, and we give ourselves to You. We are indeed Yours. You created us, and You also redeemed us. We are not our own, for we are bought with a very high price. Help us to glorify You in all that we do.

Accept our hearty thanks for the rest and all the goodness of the past night. We have slept and awakened, for You have sustained us. We thank You for our home and all its blessings and mercies. We thank You . . .
For the morning's light and for its health,
For our opportunities and privileges,
For the goodness and mercy that follow us always.

We confess our sins. We have erred and strayed from Your ways like lost sheep. We have done those things which we ought not to have done. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done, and there is no soundness in us. You have promised that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Grant us Your forgiveness and Your peace.

As we go out today, we know not what lies before us. The paths are all hidden from our eyes. We know not what dangers, what surprises of temptation or of sorrow may await us. But we are not afraid to go into the day, for You know all that is before us. So we put our hands in Yours, and we ask You to lead us forth. We shall be safe with You, no matter what may come. Lead us where You will and provide for us wherever we go. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
