"'IT'S FOR A PURPOSE '" ‘We know that all things work together for good…’ Romans 8:28 NKJV WHEN YOU know God’s plan for your life, you won’t permit things that are contrary to it. You won’t be quick to get discouraged when situations bring conflict and disorder. You won’t become frustrated or overwhelmed by those things you can’t pray away, confess away, or speak away. Why? Because you know that if it’s in your life, and it’s not caused by disobedience, God has allowed it and He wants to use it to produce in you the nature of Jesus. ‘All things’, not some things, work together for good to those who love the Lord. You say, ‘But I can’t see any real purpose in it.’ Hold on, you will! God is building a foundation under you. He’s equipping you to handle a level of success you can’t cope with right now. Out of this pressure will come the power to do what He, not others, desires in your life. He’s teaching you in the wilderness so that when you get to the Promised Land and people become unco-operative, resentful, or jealous, you won’t be afraid to cut those unhealthy ties. He wants you to know that your help comes from the Lord, not people. Do you understand that? If you don’t, you’d better ask somebody! But don’t ask just anybody, ask the Lord. His Word says, ‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know’ (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJV). Don’t be afraid to ask God, ‘Why?’ Men and women in the Scripture asked that question often. THE SUPERNATURAL POWER OF THE BLOOD "The blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7 When you work hard and you are covered in dirt, you can take a shower and clean yourself. Corrupted by sin There is something dirtier which pollutes human. Sin is not only a violation against God, but it also has a very negative effect: it pollutes you. The blood of Jesus does more than forgiving and taking away your guilt. When you allow it, the blood of Jesus will thoroughly purify you through the power of the Holy Spirit. You will feel truly cleansed. Completely cleansed We read in the Old Testament that blood was shed to forgive sins. These were animal sacrifices. The blood of animals was an image of the blood of Jesus. The blood of animals merely covered the sin, while the blood of Jesus cleanses, frees, delivers and completely removes the burden of sin. Some say: 'David, don't emphasize the blood too much. It is better to talk about baptism, prayer, singing, praise, etc.' But - and this is important - the evil one can deceive and mislead us in this. God can only accept our prayers, praise and thanksgiving through one thing. It is because of the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, which was shed on Calvary. There is no other way to the throne of God but through the blood of Jesus! The only thing that can make the evil one powerless is the blood of Jesus! Today, there is power in Jesus' blood. Jesus went through heaven with His own blood and showed it to His Father. Based on this, God has given Him all power in heaven and on earth. Our faith in Jesus' blood is the wall of separation between us and the evil one. When you acknowledge your sins and accept Jesus as your Savior and Redeemer, Jesus begins to cleanse you from all sins. https://www.theblessingdevotional.com 2. Morning Prayer for today. i. Morning Prayer But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and forever. Amen. ⏤ 2 Peter 3:18 There is always more grace to grow into. ⏤ Timothy Keller Shed upon us this morning the light of Your love, and give us strength and grace. As we leave the night behind us, so may we leave the sins and shadows of our lives behind us, and go forth in newness of spirit. We desire that all our days shall be steps toward holier things. We would not live any two of them on the same level. We would grow in grace. As each day passed through brings us nearer to eternity—we would have each one bring us nearer to the full beauty of the likeness of Jesus. We would have each day lift our feet one step higher in the ladder of life which reaches at last to Your feet in the heavenly glory! So our prayer is that this day may be for us a day of growth in all godliness—in whatever things are true, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely. While we do our common tasks, may we be growing stronger in all the qualities of true life. May our association as a family enrich our lives in all the graces of true character and make us more gentle, more thoughtful, more patient, more kindly, more unselfish. May even our temptations and our conflicts make us stronger, and bring out in us qualities of beauty which have not been developed in times of ease. Thus may the day be one of growth and progress for each of us. We need Your help at every step. Unless You will be with us, nothing good can come out of our experiences. Forgive us our sins and our many failures and mistakes. Cleanse us from secret, hidden faults. Keep us from presumptuous sins. Let no iniquity obtain dominion over us. Let the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, our strength and our Redeemer.
