Good morning, brethren.

1. Morning devotion for today.

i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. SUNDAY, MARCH 22, 2026.
"THINKING AND ACTING LIKE JESUS (1)"
‘Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.’ Philippians 2:5 NIV

MAX LUCADO writes: ‘What would your life be like, even for one day, if you were to think and act like Jesus? If His priorities governed your actions, His passions drove your decisions and His love directed your behaviour? What would you be like? Would people notice the change in you? Would your family see something new? Would your co-workers sense a difference? What about the less fortunate; would you treat them like you normally do? How about your friends; would they detect more joy? How about your enemies; would they receive more grace and mercy? And how would it affect you personally? Your mood swings? Your temper? Would you sleep better? Would you view death differently? Would you pay your taxes differently? Any chance you’d need fewer aspirins or sedatives? How about your reaction to traffic delays? Or when the deal falls through, or people don’t do what you want them to? Would you still dread what you are dreading? Better yet, would you still do what you are doing? Pause and think about your schedule, obligations, engagements, outings and appointments. With Jesus fully in control, would these all change? Keep working on this for a moment. Adjust the lens of your imagination until you have a clear picture of Jesus leading your life, then snap the shutter and frame the image. What you see is what God wants! “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.” If you committed to living this way for a lifetime, or a year, or even a month, you would be a transformed person. So just try it for one day: today!’

ii. THE SUPERNATURAL POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

"You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you." - Acts 1:8

God gave His wonderful power of the Holy Spirit to make us powerful witnesses. While the disciples were praying and waiting, a sound like the rushing wind came from heaven and filled the whole house. They saw something that looked like tongues of fire resting above each of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in tongues, in words the Holy Spirit inspired them to speak (Acts 2:1-4).

Jesus reveals sin and iniquity in our lives before He baptizes us with the Holy Spirit. For if our heart is not first cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit cannot come into our lives.

The powerful anointing

When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, the Divine Trinity will come in you as an inflamed dynamite and set you on fire. When you are in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, you will never lose this powerful anointing. This anointing will be on you, over you and in you forever.

Once you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you will never be the same again for He comes to dwell in you forever.

This brings me to the next point. In Acts 5:1-11 we read the story of Ananias and Sapphira. They sold some of their property and brought it to the apostles. However, they lied about the earnings. Peter spoke to them about this and said: 'How is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit?' Both had to pay for this with their lives. The Holy Spirit does not only give us strength, but He also reveals hidden sinful thoughts and motives.

2. Morning Prayer for today.

i. Morning Prayer

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. ⏤ Hebrews 13:8

God’s faithfulness is the foundation of our confidence. ⏤ Charles Spurgeon

We would sing of Your mercies, O Lord. We would make known Your faithfulness. You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. You never change. Your word is settled forever. Not a jot or a tittle of it can ever fail. The mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed—but Your kindness shall not depart from us, nor the covenant of Your peace be removed forever.

O Lord God Almighty, who is a strong Lord like unto You! Your faithfulness surrounds You. You rule the raging of the sea. When the waves thereof arise—You still them. The heavens are Yours, the earth also is Yours; as for the world with the fullness thereof—You have founded it. You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Justice and judgment are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth shall go before You.

We thank You, O God, that on this holy day we can rest so confidently on Your eternal faithfulness. May the gospel wherever preached today, reveal to needy hearts Your love and truth. May Your servants sent forth with the messages of Your love be faithful in representing You. Let a blessing rest on our pastor as he preaches Your word and leads us in Your worship. May he be full of the Holy Spirit. May he come from Your very presence, and may the light shine in his face as it shone on the face of Moses when he had been with You for forty days in the mount. Prepare us and all Your people for the worship of the sanctuary. Bless all Sunday schools and all meetings of whatever kind held today for Your worship. May this be a day full of Jesus and of power. And may the grace of Jesus be upon us all forever. Amen.
