Good morning, brethren.

1.morning devotion for today.

i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. TUESDAY, MARCH 24, 2026.
"THINKING AND ACTING LIKE JESUS (3)"
‘…Leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.’ 1 Peter 2:21 NIV

IF YOU’RE serious about becoming like Jesus, examine your heart, then examine His:
1) His heart was pure. He was cared for by women, yet never accused of lustful thoughts (Luke 8:1-3). Peter, who travelled with Him for three and a half years, described Him as a lamb ‘…unblemished and spotless…’ (1 Peter 1:19 NAS). John concluded, ‘…In Him is no sin’ (1 John 3:5 NIV). 2). His heart was peaceful. His disciples shouted for fear in the storm, but not Jesus. He slept through it (Luke 8:22-25). Peter drew his sword to fight the soldiers; He lifted His hand to heal (Luke 22:47-51). When Peter denied Him, did Jesus lose His temper? When the soldiers spat in His face, did He breathe fire in theirs? No, He was at peace. He forgave them. He refused to be guided by vengeance. 3) His heart was purposeful. He could summarise His life with one sentence: ‘The Son of Man came to seek out and to save the lost’ (Luke 19:10 RVS). Jesus was so focused that He knew when to say, ‘…My time has not yet come’ (John 2:4 NIV) and when to say, ‘…It is finished…’ (John 19:30 NIV). But He was not so focused that He was unpleasant. Children couldn’t resist Him. He could find beauty in lilies, joy in worship, and possibilities in problems. He could spend His days with multitudes of sick people and still feel sorry for them. He spent over three decades wading through the muck and mire of our sin, yet still saw enough beauty in us to die for our mistakes. And you are called to follow in His steps.

ii. THE SPIRIT OF LUCIFER

"You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you." - Ezekiel 28:15

Lucifer was an archangel to whom much authority was entrusted. Lucifer means 'bearer of light´. He was also called 'son of the dawn.' Only God Himself had more authority.

How did it happen that a powerful archangel could fall from heaven? With his beauty and charm he commanded great respect. In verse 17 it says: 'Your heart became proud on account of your beauty and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor.'

Lucifer was not satisfied, though God has given Him everything except for His Throne: 'I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High' (Isaiah 14:14).

God did not intend the throne for Lucifer, but for His Son Jesus. God had a great plan. No one was aware of this, not even Lucifer. Lucifer must have thought that most of the angels were on his side but only one third of the angels agreed with Lucifer's plan. How did Lucifer move them to rebel with him? Very simple: LIES, LIES, LIES. Jesus said: '…there is no truth in him' (John 8:44).

The evil one is always there to influence man's mind. Many people therefore are under his power.

How can man be redeemed from this? No one knew anything about God's great rescue plan! Yet God had His plan for salvation ready from the beginning of the world. It was this hidden plan that would later cause the defeat to the evil one.

Of course, Lucifer knew Jesus, but he could not imagine Jesus renouncing His glory, that Jesus would become man and die as a substitute for sinners on the cross. That the devil did not see this coming was his downfall.

Jesus has crushed the head of the evil one and there will come a time when God will deal with him completely.

2. Morning Prayer for today.

i. Morning Prayer

The steps of a Goodness Osondu man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. ⏤ Psalm 37:23

God’s guidance is clearest when our trust in Him is steadfast. ⏤ Elisabeth Elliot

Graciously come to us this morning, O God, and bless us. We deserve no favor at Your hand—but You are a God of mercy. Out of the depths, we have cried unto You. Lord, hear our cry, and let Your ear be attentive to the voice of our supplication. If You should mark iniquities against us—we could not stand before You, for we have sinned in manifold ways. But there is forgiveness with You—that You may be feared. We wait for Your mercy, for with You there is redemption.

You have a purpose for each one of our lives today, something You would have us to do. May You make it plain to each of us as we go out, and go through the hours, what it is You have in Your plan for us. We would do Your will and not our own all the day. Show us what You will have us to do. Teach us to do Your commandments. Let us not follow the foolish counsels and devices of our own hearts. Let us not lean unto our own understanding. Incline our hearts to follow You, and to walk in the way of Your commandments. So may we please You and glorify Your name.

We desire to be blessings in the world, and we ask You for grace to show to all who see us, Your beauty in our own lives. Fill us with Your Spirit and then Your life shall shine in us. May the joy of Jesus be in our hearts. Help us to be comforters to those who are in sorrow. May we be enabled to help others with the burdens that are too heavy for them. Teach us how to sympathize with those who are suffering. Help us to be winners of souls. Bless our home, and keep us while absent one from the other, bringing us all together in the evening. And may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with us. Amen.
