🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 86
DATE:27TH MARCH 2026
TOPIC: USING WHAT GOD HAS DEPOSITED IN YOU
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: 2 KINGS 4:2 (NKJV)
“So Elisha said to her, ‘What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?’”
Devotional Message:

In Scripture, we encounter a widow whose husband had died, leaving her in debt, with creditors threatening to take her sons into slavery. In her distress, she cried out to the prophet Elisha. His response was both simple and profound: “What do you have in the house?”

Though her situation seemed hopeless, the solution was already within her possession—a jar of oil. Through divine instruction, that small resource became the means of her deliverance and restoration.

This teaches us a vital truth: God often begins with what He has already placed within us.
Every individual carries divine deposits—gifts, talents, and abilities uniquely given by God for His purpose. These are what distinguish us and enable us to serve Him in our generation. However, many have limited the concept of service to standing on a pulpit, thereby overlooking other powerful avenues of ministry.

Service unto God is expressed in many forms:Writing to communicate truth,Poetry to express the gospel creatively,Acting and media to reach broader audiences,Music, intercession, ushering, and various helps ministries. No one is created empty. The challenge lies in discovering, recognizing, and faithfully using what God has entrusted to you.

Scripture reminds us:
“Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” (1 Corinthians 4:2, NKJV)

Faithfulness begins with what is already in your hands. As you use what God has given you, no matter how small it may seem, He multiplies it and entrusts you with more.

Beloved, do not despise your uniqueness or compare yourself with others. Instead, acknowledge what God has placed within you, develop it diligently, and use it for His glory. In doing so, you become a vessel through which God accomplishes His purpose on the earth.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gifts and abilities You have placed within me. Open my eyes to recognize what You have deposited in my life. Grant me grace to be faithful in using it for Your glory. Help me not to despise small beginnings, but to serve You diligently with all that I have. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
