*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 88*
*DATE:29TH MARCH 2026*
*TOPIC: YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS WITH AN ENCOUNTER*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:— PROVERBS 3:5–6 (NKJV)*
*“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”*
*Devotional Message:*
A man’s true journey on earth begins when he encounters God and receives divine direction. It is in that encounter that purpose is revealed, and the blueprint for destiny is made known. Until then, a man may be active, yet not aligned with God’s will.
The life of Moses clearly illustrates this truth. Though he had lived many years, his divine assignment began when he encountered God in the burning bush (Exodus 3:1–10). From that moment, God began to instruct him step by step. Moses understood the necessity of God’s presence, declaring that he would not proceed unless the Lord went with him (Exodus 33:15).
Likewise, the Apostle Paul’s life was redirected after his encounter with the Lord Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1–6). Though he was zealous before, his efforts were misaligned. After the encounter, his purpose was revealed, and he was sent to the Gentiles.
In the same way, Peter, James, and John experienced a transformation of purpose when they encountered Jesus. From being fishermen, they were called into a higher assignment as fishers of men (Matthew 4:19).
These examples reveal that existence alone does not equal purpose. A man may be busy and even successful in worldly terms, yet still be outside the will of God. It is possible to be engaged in the wrong assignment simply because there has been no true encounter with God.
Beloved, your journey begins to count when you encounter God, discover your purpose, and begin to walk in obedience to His direction. God alone holds the blueprint of your life, and without Him, a man may follow a path that seems right but ultimately leads to destruction.
The children of Israel also demonstrate the importance of divine guidance. As they journeyed from Egypt to the Promised Land, God led them with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21–22). This shows that divine direction is not occasional but continuous.
Therefore, do not rely on your own understanding. Seek God diligently, depend on His guidance, and allow Him to order your steps. When God leads, your journey becomes purposeful, aligned, and fruitful.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of purpose and direction. I ask for a deeper encounter with You that will reveal Your will for my life. Teach me to trust You fully and not to rely on my own understanding. Order my steps and lead me in the path You have prepared for me. Help me to walk in obedience until I fulfill Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
