*TOPIC: ENCOUNTERING GOD: THE GATEWAY TO PURPOSE*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:— JEREMIAH 29:13 (NKJV)*
*“Then you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”*
*Devotional Message:*
Yesterday, we established that a man’s journey truly begins when he encounters the Lord. Just as the apostles in the New Testament encountered Jesus and their lives were transformed, so it remains possible for every believer today to have a genuine encounter with Him. The Word of God is true and living, and what He did before, He is still able to do.It means like they encountered Him face to face to you too can it happen.
One of the ways to encounter God is through His Word. As you engage Scripture prayerfully and meditatively, the Spirit of God brings it alive in your heart. In that moment, revelation comes, and you begin to understand your purpose and the path God has designed for you. The Bible is not merely a book; it is a divine blueprint given to reveal God and guide us into His will.
Scripture declares that the entrance of God’s Word brings light and understanding. Therefore, as you remain in the Word, your spiritual eyes are opened, and your journey into purpose becomes clear.
Another way to encounter God is through prayer. When a man seeks God with sincerity, hunger, and a deep desire to know Him, God reveals Himself. Encounters are often the result of a heart that longs for Him. When your heart is fixed on God, He responds and makes Himself known.
Furthermore, God may reveal Himself through visions, dreams, and divine instructions. In Scripture, Ananias encountered the Lord in a vision and received direction to minister to Saul (Acts 9:10–12). This shows that God is not limited in how He communicates with His people.
Beloved, encounters with God are not limited to one method. They come through the Word, through prayer, and through divine revelations. What is required is a heart that seeks Him diligently and sincerely.
As you pursue God, He will reveal Himself to you. And in that encounter, your purpose will be clarified, and your life will begin to align with His divine plan.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege of knowing You. I receive grace to seek You with all my heart. Reveal Yourself to me through Your Word and in prayer. Open my eyes to understand Your will and align my life with Your purpose. Let my life be guided by Your presence and direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
