📘 Daily Devotion — April 3 | Mark 1:7 (NKJV) 🎟️ The Invitation That Changes Everything Mark chapter 1 records the beginning of Jesus’ ministry and the calling of His first disciples. As Jesus walks along the Sea of Galilee, He sees Simon and Andrew casting their nets into the water. They are ordinary fishermen going about their daily work. Yet in that moment Jesus calls them with a simple but life changing invitation. Follow Me. This call was more than an invitation to observe Jesus from a distance. It was an invitation to a new life. Jesus promises that as they follow Him, He will transform them into fishers of men. The same hands that once gathered fish would now gather people into the kingdom of God. The order of Jesus’ words is important. First comes following, then comes transformation. Jesus did not ask them to become qualified before responding to His call. Instead He promised that the change would happen as they walked with Him. For believers today this verse reminds us that discipleship begins with a decision to follow Jesus daily. As we stay close to Him through His Word, prayer, and obedience, He shapes our hearts and equips us to influence others for His kingdom. Jesus still calls ordinary people into extraordinary purpose. When we respond to His invitation, He transforms our lives and uses us to lead others toward Him. Reflection Questions 1. Am I actively following Jesus in my daily life 2.
