📘 Daily Devotion — April 6 | Mark 1:35 (NKJV) 🔎 Seeking God Before Everything Else Mark chapter 1 shows Jesus actively ministering to many people. He teaches in the synagogue, heals the sick, and casts out demons. Crowds gather and the needs around Him are overwhelming. Yet in the middle of a busy and demanding ministry, Jesus makes time to withdraw and pray. Verse 35 reveals a powerful example. Early in the morning, before the day begins, Jesus goes to a solitary place to spend time with the Father. This moment shows that even the Son of God prioritized communion with God above activity. Prayer was not an afterthought in Jesus’ life. It was the source of His strength, clarity, and direction. Before facing the demands of the day, He sought the presence of God. For believers today this verse teaches the importance of intentional time with God. Life can quickly become filled with responsibilities, distractions, and pressures. But spiritual strength grows when we step away from noise and meet with God in quiet. Starting the day with prayer helps align our hearts with God’s will.
