Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.
i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. GOOD FRIDAY _ 3, APRIL 2026. " RELATIONSHIP BASED ON RULES"
âBlessed are theyâŠwho walk according to the law of the Lord.â Psalm 119:1 NIV
PSALM 119, the longest psalm in the Bible with 176 verses, is a love song to Godâs law. But youâll never understand the Psalmistâs enthusiasm about a moral code until you think about children playing near a cliffâs edge. Without a fence, theyâre always in danger, never able to relax. Because of the fence, they can play freely and without fear. Godâs law is a safety fence that brings incredible freedom. Of course, itâs only a matter of time until a kid starts to wonder whatâs on the other side of the fence. If he or she doesnât know or trust the fence builder, they hop over the fence and fall off the cliff. And if theyâre fortunate enough to survive, they come back saying like the Psalmist, âBefore I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey Your wordâ (v. 67 NIV). But thereâs more to this story. Godâs law is not only a safety fence, itâs also a mirror that shows us we canât live up to His standards without His help. Only when we realise that the fence builder loves us and wants the best for us, are we happy to stay on the right side of the fence. The Ten Commandments begin with the words, âI am the Lord thy GodâŠâ (Exodus 20:2 NIV), therefore donât kill, steal, etc. God speaks about the relationship first, then about the rules that govern it. The Christian life is not a question of rules or relationship, but rules based on relationship. Itâs morality because of intimacy with God. When you understand that, youâll trust whatever God asks of you.

ii. THE LORD WILL PROVIDE
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." - Philippians 4:6
Jesus says in Matthew 6:34: 'Do not worry about tomorrow.' The Lord will fix everything in His time. That is who God is!
Humility
When you are young in the Lord, you are often still proud, and you think you know everything much better. When you have been on God's path a bit longer and learned to trust the Lord, you will not do that anymore. I have learned to say: 'OK Lord' when I realize He wants things done differently. Pride keeps you on your own way, but humility keeps you on the path of the Lord. You trust Him in every situation.
Let the Lord make the plan and let us trust Him that He will carry out His plan in our lives. God gives vision. He paves the way. He opens and closes doors.
Trust Him
Today the world needs managers who are able to get things done. However, we do not need them in spiritual life, because Philippians 4:19 says: 'And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.' Our needs are better off in the hands of the Lord. He knows what has to happen.
Acting based only on your own thoughts will hurt you badly. It can even destroy your life and make you miss the blessing of God. Let God make your plans and just trust Him. Do not plan your life by yourself.
If someone asks me about a decision that could be made later, I will patiently wait to make that decision. God could still change all kinds of things. Do not worry about a decision that needs to be made later. Do not worry, while the Lord says in Philippians 4:6: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.'

2. Morning Prayer for today.
i. Morning Prayer
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. †1 John 1:9
Forgiveness is the grace that draws us close, keeping us humble and pure. †F.B. Meyer
Father, we confess that we have fallen short in many ways, and we ask for Your grace and mercy. You have promised in Your Word that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So, we come to You now with confession, asking You to shine Your face upon us and grant us Your peace.
You have kept us safe through the night, protecting us from all harm. We thank You and ask for more of Your blessings and grace today. Help us to make this day a beautiful and worthy one. May we complete every task, fulfill every duty, and do all things with love and care. Guide us in our interactions with others, making us gentle, thoughtful, charitable, and unselfish. Help us to be useful, comforting others in their pain, and bringing peace wherever we go.
Give us patience and strength in all our trials and challenges. May we endure difficulties with calmness and grace. Let us pass through temptations unharmed, just as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego passed through the fiery furnace without being burned. May we live in this world without being harmed by it. May our love for You grow stronger every day, drawing us closer to You as we journey through life. Let the hope of Heaven lift our spirits and ennoble our lives.
As we go into this day, help us serve You faithfully and truthfully. Breathe upon us and fill us with Your Spirit. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
