Good morning church family

In Book of Zechariah 3, we are given a powerful picture of grace that still speaks to us today.

The high priest Joshua the High Priest is standing before God… but he’s not alone. Satan is there too accusing him. And Joshua is wearing filthy garments, representing sin and guilt.

But watch what God does

God rebukes the accuser
God removes the filthy garments
God clothes him in clean garments

“See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.” (v4)

This is the Gospel in a vision.

1. The enemy accuses, but God defends

Satan will always try to remind you of your past, your failures, your weaknesses.

But God doesn’t agree with the accusation, He silences it.

You are not defined by what you did.
You are defined by what God says about you.

2. God doesn’t just forgive, He restores

Joshua wasn’t just cleaned… he was re-clothed with honor.

God doesn’t just remove sin, He gives you a new identity.
He lifts you from shame and places dignity on your life.

3. You are called to walk in obedience

God gives Joshua a charge:

“If you will walk in My ways and keep My requirements…” (v7)

Grace is not an excuse to stay the same, it’s the power to live differently.

4. Jesus is our righteousness God speaks of “My servant, the Branch” (v8) a prophecy pointing to Jesus Christ.

Through Jesus:

* Our sin is removed
* Our identity is restored
* Our future is secured

“I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.” (v9)

That day was the cross.

Final Encouragement.

Family, some of us are standing like Joshua, feeling unworthy, ashamed, or accused.

But today, God is saying:
“I have chosen you.”
“I have cleansed you.”
“I have clothed you in righteousness.”

Don’t listen to the voice of accusation, listen to the voice of grace.

Walk in it. Live in it. Believe it.

You are no longer condemned, you are covered.
