*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 93*
*DATE: 3RD APRIL 2026*
*TOPIC: OVERCOMING DISCOURAGEMENT*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:HEBREWS 12:2 (NKJV)*
*“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”*
*Devotional Message:*

As the Israelites journeyed from Mount Hor, Scripture records that they became discouraged along the way (Numbers 21:4–5). In their discouragement, they began to murmur and complain against God. This reveals a pattern that is still evident among many believers today.

Many begin their walk with God with the expectation that the journey will always be smooth. However, as one progresses toward the fulfillment of God’s promises, challenges and opposition often arise. Discouragement becomes one of the enemy’s subtle weapons, especially against those who are advancing in purpose.

In such moments, the enemy seeks to shift your focus—from God’s faithfulness to your present circumstances. When this happens, you may begin to forget what God has already done in your life. This forgetfulness leads to murmuring, complaining, and a posture that reflects distrust toward God.

The Israelites, despite witnessing God’s power and provision, allowed discouragement to blind them. As a result, they spoke against God and hindered their own progress.

Beloved, discouragement must be recognized and resisted. It is a strategy designed to cause you to give up just before the manifestation of what God has promised. Many destinies have been delayed or aborted because individuals yielded to discouragement.

Scripture exhorts us to fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. This means maintaining a steady focus on Him regardless of circumstances. Our confidence must be rooted in the assurance that He who began a good work in us is faithful to complete it.

When discouragement arises, confront it immediately. Remind yourself of God’s faithfulness, stand on His Word, and refuse to allow negative thoughts to take root in your heart.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. I receive grace to remain steadfast in my journey with You. Help me to fix my eyes on Jesus and not on my circumstances. Strengthen my heart against every form of discouragement and help me to trust You completely. I declare that I will not give up, for You are faithful to complete what You have begun in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
