*THE TRUE BREAD OF HEAVEN*

*THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD (Part 7)*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: PSALM 119:9 (NKJV)*
“ *How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.”*
*Additional Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:5–6; Psalm 119:105; Joshua 1:8; Judges 16:15–21; Matthew 7:13–14*
Last Sunday, we established that the Word of God is a treasure filled with God’s promises, principles, and instructions. These guide us on the path we ought to follow as His children, ensuring that we walk in His precepts and do not dishonor Him.
One of the clearest ways we demonstrate honor and reverence to God is by walking in His ways. And His ways are revealed through His Word.
Scripture teaches that the path that leads to life is narrow and defined by God’s standards, while destruction comes when a man chooses to lean on his own understanding. When we abandon God’s instructions, we expose ourselves to error and downfall.
A clear example is Samson. Though he was chosen and anointed by God, he continually disregarded divine instructions. Instead of walking in God’s ways, he leaned on his own desires, and this ultimately led to his downfall. His life stands as a warning that gifting without obedience cannot sustain destiny.
Therefore, if we are to abide in purity and walk uprightly before God, we must commit ourselves to His ways—and these ways are revealed through the reading and meditation of the Word.
The psalmist poses a profound question: “How can a young man cleanse his way?” And the answer is clear—“By taking heed according to Your Word.”
Child of God, the Word is not only for knowledge; it is for direction and transformation. As you meditate on it and apply it, it keeps your path pure, aligns your decisions, and preserves your walk with God.
We shall continue next Sunday by God’s grace.
