THE PILGRIMS GUIDE
FRIDAY APRIL 17, 2026
OCCUPYING AS CHRIST'S REPRESENTATIVE ON EARTH
A WORD FROM THE WORD:
"And he called his ten servants,.... and said unto them, Occupy till I come." Luke 19:13 KJV
To occupy comes with understanding of taking possession of a place, city or country. When you're sent to occupy a place for your principal, you invariably become a placeholder for such person.
The LORD Jesus speaking about a certain noble man in His parable was making a veiled reference to Himself. He has given us talents to invest here on earth as part of the things that would enable us to be veritable placeholders for Him; and has gone back to the Father in heaven, He will return soon to rule and reign physically on earth, but before then we are expected to invest the talents given to us, and hold the place wherever we are planted, living our life for Him because we have been crucified and no longer have a life of our own.
We should be fully aware that we're to give account of our stewardship.
PRAYER BULLETS:
LORD Jesus, it is not about me, it is all about You. Give me all it takes to effectively, and yet righteously hold the fort till You come.
FURTHER READING:
Luke 19:11-24; Galatians 2:20.
