*🕊 DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 107*
*DATE: 17TH APRIL 2026*
*TOPIC: STRENTHENED BY THE WORD AND PRAYER*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:— PSALM 19:7 (ERV)*
*“The teachings of the LORD are perfect; they give strength to his people.”*
*Devotional Message:*
Yesterday, we saw that the Lord is our strength in times of trouble. Today, we understand how that strength is supplied—through His Word and through prayer.
Just as the physical body requires nourishment to remain strong, the soul and spirit of a man require spiritual nourishment. The Word of God is that nourishment. It restores, renews, and strengthens the inner man.
The psalmist declares that the Lord’s teachings are perfect and that they give strength. This strength is accessed when we take time to study and meditate on His Word. The prophet testified that when he received the Word, it became the joy of his heart. This joy is not temporary—it is a source of strength, for the joy of the Lord is our strength.
However, spiritual strength requires balance. Just as physical health depends on a balanced diet, the believer must combine the Word with prayer.
Prayer deepens the work of the Word in our lives. It strengthens the spirit man, builds endurance, and keeps us connected to God. When we pray—especially in the Spirit—we are edified and empowered to stand firm in every season.
Beloved, when you feel weary or weak, do not withdraw from God. Instead, draw closer to Him through His Word and through prayer. In doing so, you receive the strength needed to continue your journey.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word which strengthens my soul and for the privilege of prayer. Help me to remain consistent in studying and meditating on Your Word. Teach me to depend on You through prayer and to draw strength from You daily. Strengthen my spirit, soul, and body, and help me to stand firm in every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*Daily Bible Reading:*
Psalm 19:7–14, Jeremiah 15:16–21, Nehemiah 8:9–12, Jude 1:20–21
