*TOPIC: THE LANGUAGE OF YOUR KINGDOM*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE: EPHESIANS 5:8 (NKJV)*
“ *For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.”*
*Devotional Message:*
Yesterday, we saw that total surrender allows God to fully govern our lives. Today, we understand that what governs you will always be revealed by the “language” you speak—not just by words, but by your lifestyle, conduct, and character.
In the natural, nations that were colonized reflected their rulers through language and culture. In the same way, in the Kingdom of God, your life reflects the kingdom that rules over you.
When you are governed by the Kingdom of Light, your life will communicate it clearly through holiness, righteousness, integrity, and truth. This was evident in the lives of Joseph, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Even in difficult environments, their conduct declared that God was their Lord.
The apostles also demonstrated this reality. Despite persecution, they walked in boldness and unwavering faith. Their lives communicated that they no longer lived for themselves, but for Christ who lived in them.
On the other hand, walking in the flesh is also a language. It communicates alignment with the kingdom of darkness. Acts such as lying, gossip, immorality, lust, envy, and other works of the flesh reveal a life not fully yielded to God.
Scripture makes it clear that these two cannot coexist. Light and darkness cannot dwell together.
When the Holy Spirit governs your life, the evidence will be seen in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Beloved, your life is constantly speaking.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for calling me out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Help me to walk as a child of light in all areas of my life. Let my speech, conduct, and character reflect Your nature. Holy Spirit, lead me daily and produce Your fruit in me. May my life communicate Your Kingdom in all that I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
