Luke 19:32 NIV
Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.
Good morning and praise God. I hope you're doing good. In this life we all don't like dealing with stubborn people 'vichwa ngumu'. We learn that one reason why Israelites spent so much time in the wilderness before Canaan, the promised land, was because they were a stubborn and stiff-necked people. In our verse of the day, we meet Jesus sending some of his disciples to prepare for the last supper. They obeyed and found everything as Jesus had told them. This is a good example of what happens when we simply obey God's instructions. We get to find everything as good as God has promised us.We get to witness God's Word fulfilled through our own lives. However, many a times we stubbornly want to be sure before obeying God which then lead us to wilderness that was never meant for us. Some even die in the wilderness and never reach the promised land as it happened to some Israelites. A man like Abraham just obeyed and hence we refer to him as father of faith. He believed and obeyed without seeing and that which he believed he received. Some people considers diviners and mediums better than just trusting God because through such they receive direct answers that don't require faith or even waiting. These are such that Saul last visited before his death. There are many things that you may wish to know before obeying God but God knows that knowing them is not useful or may even be harmful and so God wants you to trust Him with your life and do as His Word teaches you and receiving it all by faith and not by sight. My prayer for us this morning is that we'll believe and obey Jesus' voice and pray to God to remove from us all forms and kinds of stubbornness that hold us or delay us from receiving our blessings. God loves you, have a blessed day. Shalom. Shalom.
