Let the Redeemed of the LORD Say So
Psalm 107:1-9
O give thanks unto the Lord,
His mercy endures always;
Of a steadfast love adored,
Eternally all your days.
Let the redeemed of the Lord,
He has ransomed from trouble;
From the foes who have ignored,
And has caused them to stumble.
He gathered them from the lands,
From the west and from the east;
Onto the place where He stands,
Inviting them to a feast.
Some wandered in desert wastes,
Finding no place to dwell in;
Knowing how good the food tastes,
Hunger and thirst did begin.
Their souls fainted within them,
As they cried out to the Lord;
Distress in feeling condemn,
As though they had been ignored.
God led them by a straight way,
Till they reached a place to dwell;
An abode that they could stay,
And a place they could excel.
Let them give thanks to the Lord,
The grace of His steadfast love;
That they be in one accord,
As blessings flow from above.
For His wondrous works for man,
Satisfies the longing soul;
Such a goodness of His plan,
Hunger and thirst to console.
