"THE TEACHER (1)"
'...The Holy Spirit .....will teach you all things ....' John 14:26 NKJV
JESUS SAID the Holy Spirit is the greatest Teacher of all. Here’s why: 1) Because He will interact with you. When you are interested enough to ask questions, the learning process has really begun. Your questions don’t bother God if they come from a hungry heart. Jesus said, ‘Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find…’ (Matthew 7:7 KJV). It’s okay to be inquisitive. God doesn’t want you to be passive and just accept everything that comes into your life. He wants you to question Him so that you can find clarity and direction. 2) Because He wants to teach you how to live. That means showing up every day for class, and not just every once in a while. It means listening intently, taking notes, and doing the reading assignments you’re given. It means trusting that the Teacher knows what He’s talking about, and that the knowledge you’re receiving will equip you to go out and succeed in life. You may not see much value in what a teacher is telling you right now, or think it relates to you personally. Perhaps you’re only interested in passing the test, graduating, and getting out of school. No, passing tests only proves you’ve a good memory, not that you’ve really learned! A good teacher’s goal is to create in you: a) a hunger for knowledge; b) an ability to seek out and understand things when he or she is no longer around; c) a willingness to put what you’ve learned into practice. You say, ‘How can I know I’m truly learning?’ John answers, ‘…Continue to live in Christ, as [He] taught you’ (1 John 2:27 NCV).

MD.ii. TOUGH TIMES IN THE LAST DAYS
"There will be terrible times in the last days." - 2 Timothy 3:1
Paul teaches us that tough times will come in the last days. In Revelation 12:12 we read that the evil one has come down and is filled with anger. He knows he does not have much time left.
The evil one knows that he has less and less time. He is aware that God will deal with him completely and throw him into the bottomless pit, into the lake of burning sulfur. The evil one knows that Jesus conquered him at Calvary and that his destiny was decided back then.
Before it comes to this, the evil one has been trying to destroy and mislead as many as possible. In Matthew 24 and Mark 13 we read a lot about the signs of the end times.
I want to quote a few facts: 'You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen' (Matthew 24:6). These are the birth pains preceding the coming of Jesus. The faster the events occur one after the other, the closer we are to the coming of Jesus.
'You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me' (Matthew 24:6-9).
Christians who worship God in spirit and truth, who profess Jesus Christ as Lord, will be increasingly hated. In many countries today, Christians are being persecuted, imprisoned, tortured and killed. These are all signs of the end time.
Jesus told us these things so we will not worry but endure till the end and be ready for His coming. Sooner or later it will happen. Will you be there?
You do not have to be afraid if you have accepted Jesus in your life and your name is in the Book of life.

2. MP.i. Morning Prayer
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. ⏤ Matthew 6:10
In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. ⏤ John Bunyan
Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. May Your kingdom come. May Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is our prayer this morning. We want Your kingdom to come fully into our hearts so that everything in us submits to Your rule. We want You to be the King of our lives, seated on the throne of our hearts, ruling over our affections, feelings, and desires. So we pray that Your kingdom may come in our lives. May everything in us that opposes You be brought into submission. May our ways that are not right be changed to align with Your holy ways.
Sometimes we get frustrated and upset when things don't go our way, when our work is hard, or when our plans don't succeed as we hoped. Father, forgive us for our discontent and rebellion. We know You are training us and that we are in Your school all the time. We know that when we complain and get upset about our circumstances, we not only grieve You but also hinder Your work in us. Help us to humbly submit to all Your ways and learn well the lesson of submission and trust in Your sovereign plan for us. We want to be truly able to say, "May Your will be done." Give us the grace to say it every day and every hour. Help us to look up to You . . .
when the path is rough,
when the tasks are hard,
when it hurts us to go on—
and to say with love, "Not my will, but Yours be done."
We commit ourselves to You for the day. It may not bring us all sunshine, gladness, and ease. It may have clouds, pain, and hardship. But, Father, we want to make it a sweet, beautiful day—whether it is bright or dark. Give us much of Your Spirit, and may we live close to You all day. We ask all this in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
