*š DOMINION DAILY DEVOTION ~ DAY 118*
*DATE: 28TH APRIL 2026*
*TOPIC: A SURRENDERED LIFE:LOVED ONES_2*
*ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:ā MATTHEW 10:37 (NKJV)*
*āHe who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Meā¦ā*
*Devotional Message:*
Yesterday we established that a surrendered life begins with offering ourselves fully to Godāspirit, soul, and body. Today, we consider another important dimension of surrender: our loved ones.
God requires that He remains first in our lives, above every relationship. This does not mean neglecting or dishonoring family, but rather placing them under Godās authority and trusting Him with their lives and destinies.
Abraham demonstrated this truth when he was willing to offer Isaac, his son of promise. His obedience revealed that his love for God was supreme. In the same way, Hannah surrendered Samuel to the Lord, faithfully fulfilling her vow and entrusting her child to Godās service.
These examples teach us that our loved ones are not possessions to control, but lives entrusted to us by God. True surrender means we release them into His hands, allowing Him to guide, use, and fulfill His purpose in them.
At times, God may call those close to us into paths that stretch our understandingāwhether in ministry, service, or places beyond our comfort. In such moments, surrender is tested. Will we trust Godās plan above our own desires?
Beloved, when relationships take the place of God, they become hindrances rather than blessings. But when God is first, every relationship finds its proper order and purpose.
Surrendering our loved ones also protects our hearts. It closes every door through which fear, control, or misplaced dependence may arise, and it aligns us with Godās perfect will.
Examine your heart today.Have you fully entrusted your loved ones to God? Are you willing to let Him lead their lives according to His purpose?
Commit them into His handsānot in fear, but in faith. For He who gave them to you is faithful to guide them and accomplish His will in them.
When God remains first, you will walk freely and effectively in His purpose.
*Prayer:*
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of my loved ones. I acknowledge that they belong to You. Help me not to place anyone above You. Teach me to trust You with their lives and destinies. I surrender them into Your handsālead them, guide them, and use them for Your glory. Let nothing hinder me from fully obeying You. In Jesusā name, Amen.
