And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress? 2 Kings 6:27

Please know these truth:
1. NO MAN is your helper; God is your Helper..
2. Until God initiates the help process, no man can help you.
3. God is your source of help while man is the channel the help is carried out.
4. You can't force anyone to help you, helping is a choice which can also be withdrawn.
This means man will lack both the capacity, willingness and ability to help you if God has not initiated it.
This is the reason I don't take offence if someone I expect to help do not help me. I know once God initiates it and he or she is the ordained channel to get that help he will have no choice but to help me.
This has also helped me not to give God's glory to the man who was used to help me. I will appreciate them, but I will give the glory to God.
Therefore while seeking help, fix your eyes on God not man. And again don't be carried away by the promises of men to help you. Until God helps you no man, no matter how wealthy and close he is to you, can truly help you.
