📘 Daily Devotion — April 29 | Mark 6:50 (NKJV) 💯 Do Not Be Afraid Mark chapter 6 describes a powerful moment when the disciples are crossing the Sea of Galilee. The wind is strong and the waves are against them. As they struggle to row the boat through the storm, they suddenly see someone walking toward them on the water. In their fear and confusion, they believe it is a ghost and they cry out in terror. Immediately Jesus speaks to them and calms their fears. His words are simple but powerful Be of good cheer It is I do not be afraid. In the middle of the storm, the presence of Jesus changes everything. The disciples had been overwhelmed by the wind and waves, but the voice of Christ reminded them that they were not alone. This moment reveals an important truth about faith. Fear often rises when we feel uncertain, overwhelmed, or unable to control the situation around us. Yet the presence of Jesus brings reassurance and courage. His authority extends even over the forces of nature, and His presence provides peace in moments of anxiety. For believers today the message remains the same.
