TODAY'S MESSAGE SERMON TITLE: “TIME AND PLACE TO RECEIVE GOD’S FAVOR” There are moments in life when everything changes—not because you struggled harder, not because you planned better, but because you showed up at the right place at the right time under God’s divine arrangement. Beloved, favor is not random. It is scheduled. It is located. And if you miss the time or ignore the place, you may delay what God has already prepared for you. Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares: "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." God works with timing. God moves through places. And when these two align in your life, favor speaks! KEY BIBLE VERSES. 1. Psalm 102:13 "Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come." This reveals that favor is not accidental—it has a set time. God schedules seasons of mercy and breakthrough. 2. Esther 5:2 "And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight..." Esther received favor not in her room, but in the court. There was a place she had to stand. 3. Luke 19:5 "Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house." Zacchaeus positioned himself in a tree, and that location became the place of divine visitation. STRUCTURED POINTS 1. Favor Has a Set Time God’s favor is not always immediate, but it is always intentional. Joseph waited years in prison, but when his time came, he moved from the pit to the palace in one day (Genesis 41:14). Truth: Delay is not denial. It may simply mean your set time has not fully arrived. 2. Favor Is Location-Sensitive Where you are matters. Esther had to appear before the king. Blind Bartimaeus had to be by the roadside where Jesus would pass (Mark 10:46). Truth: Some blessings will not meet you where you are comfortable; they meet you where God directs. 3. Preparation Attracts Favor When your time comes, you must be ready. Esther prepared herself before going to the king (Esther 2:12). David was already skillful before he was called to the palace (1 Samuel 16:18). Truth: Favor does not reward laziness; it meets readiness. 4. Discernment Unlocks Favor You must recognize when your moment comes. Many missed Jesus because they did not discern their time of visitation (Luke 19:44). Truth: Spiritual sensitivity helps you not to miss divine opportunities. REAL-LIFE / BIBLICAL CASE STUDY Case Study: Esther Esther was an orphan, unknown, and unlikely. But she entered a divine process. She was taken to the palace (place) She went through preparation (process) She appeared before the king at the right moment (timing) And in one encounter, she received favor that saved a whole nation. Lesson: When time, place, and preparation meet, favor becomes undeniable. PRACTICAL ACTION STEPS 1. Stay in God’s Presence Favor flows from intimacy with God. 2. Be Spiritually Alert Pray for discernment to recognize your moment. 3. Position Yourself Rightly Go where God is leading—even if it’s uncomfortable. 4. Develop Yourself Build your skills, character, and faith. 5. Be Consistent and Faithful Your time may be hidden, but it is not forgotten. DEEP SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS Favor is not just about blessing; it is about divine alignment. God does not only bless people—He blesses moments and locations. Missing divine timing can delay destiny, but alignment restores it. Sometimes, God uses waiting to prepare you for the weight of favor. QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION 1. Am I spiritually sensitive to discern my season? 2. Am I positioned where God wants me to be? 3. What preparations am I neglecting right now? 4. Have I been impatient with God’s timing? 5. What step is God asking me to take today? POWERFUL PRAYER POINTS 1. Father, open my eyes to recognize my set time of favor in Jesus’ name. 2. Lord, position me in the right place for divine encounters. 3. Every delay assigned against my destiny, be broken now! 4. Father, prepare me for the favor I am about to receive. 5. I will not miss my divine moment—by the power of the Holy Ghost! 6. Let favor locate me where effort has failed. CALL TO ACTION Beloved, your life is not random. God has already prepared moments of favor for you. But you must align yourself. Stop wandering—position yourself. Stop rushing—trust His timing. Stop doubting—prepare for your moment. Your set time is coming. Your place is being arranged. And when heaven connects the two, your story will change suddenly.
