Good morning and praise God. I hope you're having a great Monday morning. Let's talk about miracle of faith and obedience. To put this into context, from God's Word, we know that we've been promised hope and future by our God. This a kind of progression that doesn't come overnight but over time. Unfortunately this world is ruled by powers that are so strong for a mere human being to win over them. Paul describes it this way*For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12. Yesterday as I wa teaching Sunday School, I reminded them that the enemy uses people just same way God uses them. The enemy tries to copy it all! I reminded that he doesn't come the way he is described in movies, red, ugly, horns, tail , craws etc but instead comes with the same face and look especially of you and your fellow human being. You can meet God through a person and same way Satan through a person! Back to our lesson of the day, this story of Jericho walls illustrates what happens when you decide to hold on to faith and obedience to God. He fight your battles and clears the way of all the obstacles! It was not the efforts of Israelites by terms of strength in fighting that brought down the walls but instead their efforts in obeying God through faith. Probably you are there feeling as if you are tethered by circumstances and unknowns that pulls you from reaching and inheriting what God has promised us; God is reminding us that though it is beyond your power and ability, it's not possible with Him! It is not about flesh and blood; it is not about your body strength, knowledge or wisdom or much learning but about your faith and obedience to God! The blockers may hold you for sometimes just like they did to Daniel's prayer but when you persist in believing and trusting God and your Savior Jesus, God will fight your battles! Remember the words of our Savior Jesus when He was about to descend into Heaven, He said "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you." Holy Spirit is with us! Hallelujah! God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.Therefore will not we fear... Our help is on God creator of Heaven and Earth! Trust Him, have faith in Jesus Christ and obey.
