Good morning, brethren.
1. Morning devotion for today.

MD.i. MORNING TEA
THE WORD FOR TODAY. TUESDAY MAY 5, 2026.
"PUT YOUR HEART INTO IT (2)"

ā€˜Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.’ Psalms 150:6 NKJV

SOLOMON SAYS there’s ā€˜ā€¦a time to keep silence and a time to speak’ (Ecclesiastes 3:7 NKJV). Now, you shouldn’t interrupt the church service and draw attention to yourself, but when it’s time to praise God you should give it 100 percent: ā€˜I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart’ (Psalms 9:1 NKJV). The story’s told of an old man named Joe, who’d been a drunk and a derelict most of his life and, as a result, he could barely make ends meet. During a Sunday morning service he gave his life to Christ and the transformation was so radical that everybody in the congregation noticed it. Joe had a problem, however; he was so thrilled with Jesus that he sang louder than everybody else. And when the pastor made a point that touched his heart, he’d jump up and shout, ā€˜Hallelujah!’ Concerned that the dignity and decorum of the church were at risk, the pastor said, ā€˜Joe, you’ve got to be quiet. As a matter of fact, if you’ll just sit in church next Sunday and say nothing, I’ll buy you a new pair of boots.’ Joe needed the boots, so he said he’d try. But after restraining himself through several high points in the sermon, he couldn’t stand it anymore. He jumped up and shouted, ā€˜Boots or no boots, I’m gonna praise the Lord!’ You say, ā€˜But I’m the quiet, reserved type.’ Sorry, there are no exceptions based on personality types. ā€˜Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!’ In other words, unless you’re dead, you’re supposed to praise the Lord!

MD.ii. DELIVER ME

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." - John 8:36

The evil one is able to use almost everything to keep us captured. You may be bound by a spirit of manipulation. Perhaps you are bound by a spirit of criticism. You criticize others or you are being criticized and suffer from it. There are many bondages. 'Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free' (John 8:32).

A big liar

When you are bound by something, the evil one will use this to depress and discourage you. If you are sick, he will try to convince you that you will die. If you are addicted to smoking, drugs, alcohol or pills, he will look for you and say: 'You can't stop! You are going to die. I got you.' The evil one will do everything in his power to destroy you. He finally tells you: Put an end to this life.'

But the evil one is a big liar! It is God's desire that we are well, that we are healthy and happy (see 3 John 1:2).

Being bound is also bad for your health. Your body cannot function properly due to the pressure of the evil one. Physical complaints are often caused by poor emotional, spiritual or mental health. It is possible to be captivated by a spirit of illness. A deaf and dumb person was able to speak again when Jesus drove away the evil spirit (see Matthew 9:32-33). There was also a spirit of weakness (Luke 13:10-17) from which a crippled woman suffered.

Deliverance

The message we bring is that there is salvation. Christ is the Redeemer. God placed the Church in the world to bring salvation in Jesus' name. If you are bound, you do not have to stay that way. Jesus Christ wants to redeem you from sins, diseases, bad habits, phobias, addictions, occultism and evil powers.

Pray to God. Tell Him that you need His help. Rearrange your life and allow God to deliver you.

2. Morning Prayer for today.

MP.i. Morning Prayer

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass. ā¤ Psalm 37:5

The greatest answer to prayer is that I am brought into a perfect understanding with God. ā¤ Oswald Chambers

We bow before You, O God, this morning to ask for the help we’ll need throughout the day. We don’t know what we’ll face, what burdens may come our way, or what challenges we may encounter. But You know everything this day holds for us. Your eyes see every step of our path. Like children, we place our hands in Yours, asking that You lead us in the way we should go. We want this day to honor You. We desire to live with sweetness, patience, and selflessness. But we know that on our own, we may fall short of our goals—of doing what we truly want to do. So, we cast our weakness onto Your strength, asking You for the help we’ll need at every step.

We want this day to be useful. We aim to do all our tasks well, leaving nothing undone that we should do. Help us to be honest, true, skillful, and alert, doing everything faithfully—not just for human eyes, but for Yours. We also want to be helpful to others throughout the day. Give us a spirit of kindness, thoughtfulness, and helpfulness—so that every life we touch receives a blessing. May our words encourage others, making their lives easier or giving them the strength to face their own challenges.

If there are people who are sick, troubled, or tempted whom You would have us help today—lead us to them. Put the right thoughts of kindness in our hearts, the right words on our lips, and the healing touch in our hands.

We thank You for the goodness of the night and ask for forgiveness for all our sins. We now give ourselves to You, to be used by You today as You see fit. In Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray. Amen.
