ESSENTIALS OF PRAYER-1
Syllabus-1
"They should always pray and not lose heart." Luke 18:1
The great need for prayer in the Christian life can be understood from this statement of the Lord Jesus. A widow was repeatedly begging the judge to grant her a judgment. Finally the judge said, "Because this widow keeps bothering me, I will avenge her because of her wrongdoing, so that she will not keep coming and wearing me out." Then the Lord said, "Hear what the unjust judge says. Will not God avenge his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?" Luke 18:3-7.
If we keep praying to God about a righteous matter and do not give up, he will surely answer us. If the unrighteous judges of the world cannot ignore a righteous request, how much more so will the righteous God! In Psalm 18:6, King David said, “In my distress I called upon the Lord; I cried to my God; he heard my voice from his temple; my cry entered his ears.” Psalm 34:15 says, “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry for help!”
God may not answer immediately. But He will not let the righteous prayers of any devotee fall to the ground. He will certainly answer prayers in due time. Therefore, we should not be discouraged and continue the ministry of prayer that we are receiving.
"First of all, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, be made for all people, Thank you." 1 Tim 2:1.
